This is something every cricket fan in the country wanted to see, Zaheer Khan back on the cricket field. Playing his first competitive match since limping off on Day 1 of the Lord's Test earlier this year, Zaheer is making a comeback in a bid to play the Tests Down Under.
Post an ankle surgery, Zaheer, who's playing Mumbai's Ranji Trophy match vs Orissa in Cuttack, is still not bowling full steam. But India's pace spearhead has, nevertheless, taken 4 wickets in 2 days.
Word about Zak playing the match spread quickly. There were about three times more people watching on Day 2 than on the first day.
India's upcoming tour Down under will be a tough one and the BCCI has made it clear that Zaheer will be on the flight to Australia only if he's 100% fit. And it's so far so good.
