Dhoni revealed that the team's strategy was simple; to beat Australia in a larger number of sessions.
Dhoni also said that despite the hype and all the cricketing history between the two teams, he was looking to keep the series controversy-free. "It is something we don't really want to do as professional cricketers, there is a lot at stake. We hope for a controversy-free series but at the same time it is important to keep it interesting", said Dhoni.
Dhoni also indicated the importance of dashing opener Virender Sehwag in the side. "He is a key player for us along with other batsmen. Sehwag can put the opposition under pressure and does not give the bowlers many warm-up balls", said Dhoni.
Speaking on the much debated fitness of the bowlers, Dhoni said, "It's good to see both (Ishant and Zaheer) in action. We have missed Zaheer quite a few times. The pacers are shaping well. Hope the best XI is available for the first Test."
The Indian skipper also indicated that coming to the tour 12-13 days in advance helped the team mentally and would assist the outcome of the series.
