To call him India's in-form batsman has become more of an obvious title than a mere adjective.

The prodigal batsman has been in excellent form for a long time and his performances in WT20 has been no different.

Building on his excellent showing in the first four matches of Super-10, Kohli helped India cruise past South Africa with a knock worth 72* off 44, and storm into the final.

Kohli never lost sight of either the objective - 173 runs, or his strategies to achieve them.

That he had body pain before the match was a minor detail - and details hardly ever bother the brave and the daring.

Hardly known to give opposition any leeway, Kohli's eyes were full of determination as he also became the highest run-getter in the tournament.

His half-century in the match was his seventh in T20Is.

"Today was just one of those days I had to keep cool against world-class bowling," he said after the match.

The 25-year-old consolidates his position at the top of T20I rankings for batsmen.

He is also the world's best ODI batsman and the 10th best in Tests (as per ICC rankings on April 4, 2014).

When India face Sri Lanka for the WT20 title, expect him to fire on all cylinders once again.
