But Kyle Coetzer had other plans. He hit 156 to help Scotland post a repectable total.

Coetzer became Scotland's highest individual scorer in World Cup history.

He scored his second ODI century to surpass his best score of 133.

Coetzer and Mommsen were involved in a 141-run stand for the fourth wicket. Coetzer was awarded Man of the Match.

Defending 318/8, Scotland had a good start with the bowl as they removed Soumya Sarkar early.

However, Tamim Iqbal and Mahmudullah stitched together 139 runs for the second wicket to bring Bangladesh back in the game.

Tamim became second Bangladeshi after Shakib Al Hasan to complete 4000 runs in ODIs.

Mushfiqur Rahim hit a quick-fire 60 off 42 balls. Shakib Al Hasan (52*) and Shabbir Rahman (42*) also played crucial knock under pressure to help Bangladesh reach the target in 48.1 overs.

Bangladesh registered their second win and remain 5th with five points. Australia also have 5 points but have superior run rate.
