Sangakkara walks off with 12,646 runs in 447 ODIs with 77 fifties and 19 hundreds.

Mahela Jayawardene has scored 14,189 runs with 93 fifties and 25 hundreds in ODIs.

In their final outing, Sangakkara and Jayawardene were greeted with respect and adulation by their opposition - summing up their glorious careers.

In his finall innings, Sangakkara scored 45.

In his final tournament, Sangakkara also achieved the feat of becoming the first player ever to score four successive ODI tons.

Sachin Tendulkar congratulated Jayawardene and Sangakkara for their memorable careers in international cricket on Twitter.

Kumar Sangakkara also became only the second batsman after Sachin Tendulkar to score 500-plus runs in World Cups.
