Team manager Asif Bajwa said Pakistan was the first country to have expressed satisfaction at the security arrangements in India for the World Cup.
"We are the first to have expressed satisfaction to the security arrangements of the Indian government, of the Delhi Police and of the Indian federation (Hockey India)," Bajwa, who is also the secretary of the Pakistan Hockey Federation, said at the Wagah border where they reached by bus.
"India is a safe place for the World Cup," he added. Asked about the security threat following a warning by an Al-Qaeda operative, he said, "Terrorism is a global issue not specific to India and Pakistan. It should be seen in a global perspective.
"Moreover, terrorism will not have any effect on sporting events. They (sports) should not be seen from the perspective of terrorism," he said.
Pakistan, under captain Zeshan Ashraf, will play their campaign opener against India on the opening day.
