He also welcomed the court's order asking the government to stay away from Hockey India elections.
"Basically, the Indian Olympic Association and Hockey India have now admitted that the IHF is the only body in the country for the game," Gill said.
Directing the government and HI to issue a clarification to all the state sports units that it is a private body, Justice S Murlidhar today said that tomorrow's election will be allowed only when the confusion regarding HI's status is cleared.
Gill said the Federation will now wait for the High Court's further directions.
"The Court has said that the IHF is the only body and the HI have now admitted that they are a private body. IHF now awaits the further Court decision on August 9 when the case comes up again," he said.
The court also asked the government to withdraw its observer appointed to monitor the HI election.
