Indian Women's Hockey Federation merges with Indian Hockey Federation
Indian Hockey Federation (IHF) and Indian Women's Hockey Federation (IWHF) have officially merged into one body, which will be called IHF. Elections will happen

At a special general meeting, Indian Hockey Federation (IHF) and Indian Women's Hockey Federation (IWHF) have officially merged into one body, which will be called IHF. Elections will happen in first week of October.
Government observer also present at the merger meeting.
Earlier, the sports ministry has derecognised Hockey India (HI) and granted recognition to IHF as the sole body to run the sport in the country.
The ministry has also asked the International Hockey Federation (FIH) not to have any dealings with HI because they no longer enjoy government recognition.
