Gaffoor, Tirkey appointed national selectors

Former India captain Dilip Tirkey was on Tuesday named one of the selectors in the four-member national selection committee by the rejuvenated Indian Hockey Federation.
Apart from Tirkey, the other members of the selection committee includes former India international Abdul Gaffoor Khan, Olympians Baljeet Singh Dhillion, Anil Aldrin and Sayyed Ali, an official release said here.
The IHF had asked the Madhya Pradesh Sports and Youth Affairs Department on Monday to inform it about Gaffoor's selection in the four-member panel.Â
