Will Tiger Woods return to play at the Augusta Masters starting next week or will he not? Well, that's the question on every golf fan's mind and the fact that he played a practice round on Tuesday at Augusta has just added much excitement!
Tiger Woods played 18 holes at the Augusta National and his agent confirmed that the 14-time Major will decide in next few days whether he's playing or not.
Speaking to NDTV in December, Tiger Woods had made his intentions clear saying 'I would like to win the Masters in April.'
But after pulling out of Farmers Insurance Open due to a sore back this February, the former World No.1 took an indefinite leave from the PGA Tour saying that he'll be back only when he felt he was 'tournament ready'.
His fans aren't being too hopeful just yet.
After all Tiger's recent fact file does suggest that the going hasn't been all that good:
- He dropped out of the world's top 100 for the 1st time since winning his 1st ever PGA title.
- He's played just 47 holes on the Tour this season and shot his career's worst round of golf, carding an 11 over in the 2nd round of the Phoenix Open.
- Add to that the fact that he didn't record a single top-10 finish in 9 events that he played in 2014.
Tiger Woods though has never been shy of admitting that physically he does feel the strain.
He confessed during the Hero World Challenge in December, "I am older and we all eventually start losing some of the things we were able to do when we were younger. As an athlete, yes, you do notice these things".
A four-time Masters champion, Tiger Woods has missed the year's first major just once in 2014 since making his professional debut due to back surgery.
The big question remains, Can Tiger roar back come the 9th of April?
