Gurgaon:
Atwal cooled his heels at home from March to July this year after the shoulder injuries picked up the previous year began to nag him in February.
At this point Woods had asked him to be a bit patient but finding it tough to be away from the course, Atwal came back in July and ended up missing eight cuts.
"He (Woods) has been a good friend and during my injury, he had asked me not to rush back too early but I didn't listen to him. For me it became too frustrating sitting at home for more than four months and so I made the mistake of coming out a little early and missed a lot of cuts. But that's how we learn from our mistake," Atwal said.
