After surviving a tough five-setter in his opening match of the French Open, reigning champion Rafael Nadal registered a straight sets victory over countryman Pablo Andujar in the Second Round.
The 7-5, 6-3, 7-6(5) scoreline however, was too harsh on Andujar as the Spaniard put up a great fight against the World No. 1 who looked far from comfortable.
Some brilliant cross court shots by Andujar proved to be too quick even for a striving Rafael Nadal. The tables however, turned after the eighth game of the third set which saw the World No. 1 break his opponent's serve, which allowed him to claw back from a 5-2 scoreline to reach a tie-breaker which ended in Nadal's favour.
Nadal will now face the winner of Antonio Veic and 28th seed Nikolay Davydenko in the Third Round.
