Lewis Hamilton, Ferrari Top Britain's F1 Popularity Charts
Lewis Hamilton edged past Kimi Raikkonen to be the most popular F1 driver. Ferrari were voted ahead of McLaren as the most popular team.

Reigning world champion Lewis Hamilton beat Ferrari racer Kimi Raikkonen to be Formula One's most popular driver in a global fan survey by Britain's Autosport magazine which was participated by 35,000 people.
Hamilton, the two-time F1 champion, received 19.9 per cent of votes in favour of Raikkonen's 18.3 per cent. Fading F1 stars Fernando Alonso and Jenson Button were fourth and fifth, respectively. Four-time champion and 2015 F1 season title contender Sebastian Vettel was voted fifth most popular driver.
The Autosport survey found Ferrari to be the most popular team ahead of McLaren, while Hamilton's Mercedes were fifth in the list. (Equalling Senna's Record is Incredible: Vettel)
Belgium was voted ahead of Monaco and Canada as best Grand Prix venue and the 1990s was ranked as the favourite decade for the sport.
Hamilton is currently the championship leader with 202 points after 10 races in the 2015 season. Teammate Nico Rosberg is a close second on 181 points. Mercedes are at the top of championship table with 383 points -- 147 points ahead of second-placed Ferrari.
