India's Narain Karthikeyan, who had a mediocre debut in the Formula One season this year, said that he was negotiating with various teams for the new driving season and hoped that something would work out soon. With his team Midlands, formerly Jordan, not choosing him as one of their two drivers for the coming season, Karthikeyan has been on the lookout for a new team. He was speaking at a felicitation function in Kolkata organised by the CII on Thursday. Karthikayean's future has been the subject of endless speculations recently. There have been reports that he could be roped in by Williams as a 'pay driver' for the new Formula One season as the F-1 team is searching for drivers for test and reserve positions. On whether he was interested in joining the Formula A1, Karthikeyan said he had no such plans. (PTI)
