Sepang, Malaysia:
Renault has come up with a fashionable way to beat the heat in Malaysia.
With humid temperatures in the mid-30s Celsius (86 degrees Fahrenheit) and track temperatures at times topping 50 degrees (122 degrees Fahrenheit), Renault decided their black overalls would be too hot for the drivers.
So drivers Nick Heidfeld of Germany and Vitaly Petrov of Russia are wearing "sparkling golden suits" instead and would do so again in some other hot races later in the season.
However reports that the team planned to use gold-plated rear wings should be put into the context of the statement's release date - April 1. No golden wings have been spotted on the two Renaults so far.
