Force India's Paul di Resta underwent a simulation training course as part of his team's final pre-season testing at the Circuit de Catalunya on Wednesday.
The 24-year-old Scot who will race for Force India in the Australian Grand Prix beginning 25th March, ran a total of 118 laps on the simulator that included qualifying runs, full race set-up and live pit stops.
His best time was 1:24.334. "In the morning I worked through the qualifying sims and in the afternoon it was onto the race runs. I'll have a break tomorrow while Adrian takes over the car to test some new aero upgrades" he said and added that trying pit stops in race conditions was a new experience.
Dominic Harlow, the circuit engineering director, said that the testing was productive. "We also had our full race crew here today to give them some live pit stop practice. Reliability was good again, which allowed us to cover our primary objectives for today."
