Expect Adrian Sutil to push his Sahara Force India car to the limits against Lewis Hamilton in the upcoming F1 season. This after the German - recently appointed to partner Paul di Resta - said he has not maintained any relationship with the Briton after Hamilton failed to testify in his favour after a brawl last year.
Sutil was suspended for 18 months and fined 167,000 pounds for his physical fight with Lotus executive Eric Lux at a Shanghai nightclub - with a champagne glass. He lost his place with Sahara Force India and was replaced by Nico Hulkenberg.
Since, the 30-year-old has been out of F1 action but will make his comeback to replace Hulkenberg - who will drive for Sauber - this season. Sutil though is in no mood to patch up with Hamilton for not supporting him. According to a report in Telegraph UK, Sutil has said while he will meet with Hamilton in the course of the new season, has no idea as to 'what will happen.'
The same report also quotes Hamilton as saying that he made several attempts to reach out to Sutil but was repeatedly rebuffed. "I contacted him a while ago because I heard there was a chance he could get the seat and just said that I had said a prayer for him, that I really hoped he got the seat because he deserved it and that I really hoped to see him back in Formula One. On the way here, I found out (about Sutil's appointment) and congratulated him. I haven't heard back from him, but I am sure at some stage we will get to talk," said Hamilton who will race for Mercedes this year.
Sutil though will be out to prove more than just inter-personal points and will hope to collect points regularly for his team. Team principal Vijay Mallya earlier said that the decision to re-appoint Sutil was based on his experience with the team.
