Website Uol Sport reported on Saturday that Romario met former team-mate Ronaldo and Brazilian Football Federation (CBF) president Ricardo Teixeira on Friday to ask for 300 cut-price seats for disabled supporters.
Teixiera also chairs the World Cup organising committee, which is fronted by two-time Ballon d'Or winner Ronaldo.
Following the meeting, Romario said he was "convinced" his wishes would be respected, according to Uol Sport.
Now a politician with Brazil's Socialist Party (PSB), Romario must inform the president of the Brazilian Senate, Jose Sarney, that he will make a formal demand to FIFA and the organising committee.
At the beginning of November, FIFA warned Brazil to speed up their preparations to host the World Cup and reluctantly accepted to issue half-price tickets for students and those over 60 years of age.
Brazil's Sports Minister, Aldo Rebelo, vowed earlier this month that the 12 stadiums designated to host matches at the tournament would be ready "ahead of schedule".
