Real Madrid hammered Schalke 6-1 in the first leg of UEFA Champions League.
Chelsea in their trip to Istanbul, drew Galatasaray 1-1 as Fernando Torres scored for the blues. The draw gives Chelsea an advantage ahead of the second leg at Stamford Bridge on March 18.
Tuesday saw Greek giants Olympiakos beat Manchester United 2-0 in the first-leg clash.
It was disappointment for David Moyes' side as their star players Wayne Rooney (in pic) and Robin van Persie failed to put the team on the board in the away leg.
Borussia Dortmund's star player Robert Lewandowski netted twice as the German side beat French team Zenit Saint Petersburg 4-2 in the first-leg on Tuesday.
