Arsenal Beat Hull City 3-2 to Win FA Cup, Break Title Drought

Despite coming into the FA Cup final as huge underdogs, Hull City looked menacing right from the start and added their first goal in the 4th minute itself thanks to centre-back James Chester.

However, there was more trouble for Arsenal to follow as Hull City doubled their lead in the 8th minute courtesy an amazing rebound goal from central defender Curtis Davies.

There was gloom in the air for some time for Arsenal before Santi Cazorla converted a free kick from the spot in the 17th minute to make the score 2-1, giving Arsene Wenger's side some hope of a recovery.

It was a day of centre-backs and defenders before the full time whistle and although there were no more goals till the 71st minute, the equaliser from Laurent Koscielny was a dream come true for Arsenal as they now needed to score just once more to win the FA Cup title.

The winner for Arsenal came in the 109th minute of the game into extra time from midfielder Aaron Ramsey and the North London club hung on to the lead to claim the FA Cup silverware. Huge celebrations were to follow.

Manager Arsene Wenger was lifted by the players on their shoulders and given a huge cheer by the Arsenal fans in the crowd.

Considering this was Arsenal's first major trophy since 2005, the players were very happy indeed. Arsenal were leading for the most number of days in this year's English Premier League before they dropped their lead and made way for Manchester City to become champions.
