DEFOE POACHES A POINT
Comeback kings Bournemouth scored in stoppage time through substitute Jermain Defoe to salvage a 1-1 draw with Watford at Vicarage Road. A contentious foul by Stefano Okaka gifted the Cherries a free kick, which was pumped forward for Nathan Ake to head down and Defoe to sweep home from close range. The Hornets had taken the lead after 12 minutes when Kiko Femenia met a corner with a volley into the ground that bounced up and into the net via a deflection off Josh King. Both teams squandered numerous excellent chances before the visitors equalised just before the break following a moment of madness from Jose Holebas; after Orestis Karnezis had saved a powerful Callum Wilson effort, Holebas inexplicably punched the loose ball into touch, and King swept the resulting penalty into the bottom corner. Watford made it 2-1 just after the break, Roberto Pereyra collecting Will Hughes' layoff and finding the bottom corner via another deflection, but they couldn't quite hold on until the end.

FULL TIME WATFORD 2 BOURNEMOUTH 2
It's all over; 2-2 is the final score. Okaka and Deeney continue to protest to the referee as the other players head off down the tunnel.
90'
GOAL!!! BOURNEMOUTH
Bournemouth remain the comeback kings. Steve Cook pumps the free kick upfield, where Nathan Ake heads it down and into the box. JERMAIN DEFOE is on hand to do what he does best and sweep the ball beyond the advancing Orestis Karnezis.
90'
YELLOW CARD
Stefano Okaka and Steve Cook clash in the air, with the Watford man's forearm swinging into his opponent's chin, and a yellow card is issued. Okaka is absolutely incensed.
90'
DISAPPOINTING EFFORT
Andrew Surman tries his luck from just outside the area, failing to summon any venom, and Karnezis collects it with ease.
90'
Goal
Jermain Defoe. Assist by Nathan Ake (Bournemouth)
90'
Yellow Card
Stefano Okaka (Watford)
89'
END TO END STUFF
Ryan Fraser, who has been highly effective this half, clips another cute ball to the back post, where Richarlison reaches it just ahead of Pugh and prods it back to the keeper. Watford then threaten as Deeney brings a diving save from Begovic with an 18-yard effort.
87'
TIME RUNNING OUT
The game has become bogged down in a series of petty fouls, which is the last thing Bournemouth need as they try to create a decisive opening.
84'
CORNER CHAOS
A Jose Holebas corner from the right causes chaos and falls to Troy Deeney, whose looping header is diverted back to Begovic via Ake.
81'
Substitution
Richarlison (on). Kiko Femenia (off). (Watford)
81'
SUBSTITUTIONS
Each side makes a change; Bournemouth send on Andrew Surman for Wilson, while for Watford Femenia sees his number in lights and trudges off the pitch very slowly indeed as he makes way for Richarlison.
9'
BALL TO HAND
Will Hughes speeds away from Dan Gosling and passes forward to Troy Deeney, who cuts inside Steve Cook, only to see his shot blocked by Ake. The ball hit the Dutchman's arm, but the limb was in front of his body and the distance between the two players made it impossible to move it out of the way in time.
80'
DOUCOURE STRIDES THROUGH
Doucoure sets off on a thrusting run and very nearly makes it through on goal, only for his close control to let him down at the very last moment.
78'
Yellow Card
Abdoulaye Doucoure (Watford)
78'
YELLOW CARD
Abdoulaye Doucoure tugs back King after failing to catch the flying forward legally, earning himself a caution for his troubles.
81'
Substitution
Andrew Surman (on). Callum Wilson (off). (Bournemouth)
77'
DEFOE GOES CLOSE
Fraser scampers infield from the left flank and conjures up a cross that's slightly behind Defoe, but the striker manages to angle his header towards goal, where it's tipped over by the stretching Karnezis.
76'
TEAM EFFORT
Several Watford players hurl themselves at Jermain Defoe as the veteran controls the ball near the penalty spot, managing to scramble the ball to safety between them.
75'
Substitution
Stefano Okaka (on). Will Hughes (off). (Watford)
75'
SUBSTITUTION
Hughes receives an ovation for a sparkling performance as he makes way for Stefano Okaka. That's a surprisingly attacking change considering Watford have the lead.
73'
BETTER LATE THAN NEVER
Bournemouth have proven themselves the comeback kings this season, and as usual they're mounting a late push, the formation having now changed to three at the back. We may well be in for more goals before the final whistle.
70'
CATAPULT THROW
Steve Cook catapults a long throw into the box from the left, but the whistle is blown straight away as Nathan Ake shoves Craig Cathcart in the back.
67'
Substitution
Jermain Defoe (on). Jordon Ibe (off). (Bournemouth)
67'
SUBSTITUTION
Eddie Howe sends on renowned poacher Jermain Defoe for Ibe in a bid to nick an equaliser.
7'
STANISLAS DENIED
Stanislas spins between two defenders to glide into the box and aim for the far corner with a cultured shot that brings a decent diving save from Orestis Karnezis. It's been a blistering start by the Cherries.
65'
NASTY CHALLENGE
Marc Pugh draws the crowd's ire after lunging in on Hughes with a tackle that gets nowhere near the ball. The substitute's studs were down so it at least didn't look worthy of a dismissal.
64'
Substitution
Craig Cathcart (on). Sebastian Prodl (off). (Watford)
64'
SUBSTITUTION
Prodl is withdrawn before he can be sent off or further outmanouevred by Wilson, with Craig Cathcart making his return from long-term injury in place of his fellow centre back.
62'
STRAIGHT AT THE KEEPER
Wilson turns his man yet again and this time passes short to Ibe, whose strike from the edge of the box is too close to Orestis Karnezis to cause any problems.
61'
PASS TO NOBODY
Wilson shrugs off Prodl again with impressive strength, but a promising attack is wasted as Josh King passes halfway between Wilson and Jordon Ibe.
58'
RISKY STRATEGY
Wilson is only just caught offside after running beyond the Watford back line in pursuit of a quick Lewis Cook free kick. The Hornets are gambling on a high line.
56'
Yellow Card
Sebastian Prodl (Watford)
56'
YELLOW CARD
Sebastian Prodl petulantly jumps in to hack down Callum Wilson from behind after being turned all too easily by the striker. A yellow card is his just reward.
54'
FRASER TAKES A KNOCK
Fraser comes off worse after challenging for a high ball with Pereyra and stays down for a moment before eventually climbing gingerly to his feet.
52'
DODGY TOUCH
Roberto Pereyra's lovely first touch from a Hughes crossfield pass takes him away from Ryan Fraser, but his subsequent control lets him down, and in the end the ball overruns to Nathan Ake.
49'
Goal
Roberto Pereyra. Assist by Will Hughes (Watford)
49'
GOAL!!! WATFORD
Will Hughes receives the ball with his back to goal inside the penalty area and shows quick feet to evade two defenders before laying the ball off to ROBERTO PEREYRA. The Argentine shoots first time, and again the effort takes a hefty deflection to roll slowly into the far corner of the net, just out of Asmir Begovic's reach.
48'
WATFORD BLOCKED OFF
Will Hughes floats a dangerous cross along the six-yard line, and Steve Cook leaps highest, but the defender's header falls at the feet of Kiko Femenia. His volley is blocked, and squirts to Etienne Capoue, who similarly proves unable to force the ball past the blue shirts.
46'
SECOND HALF
The teams are out and the second half is underway, with neither manager having made any changes at the break.
45'
Substitution
Marc Pugh (on). Junior Stanislas (off). (Bournemouth)
45'
HORROR FOR HOLEBAS
Bournemouth equalised right at the death following a moment of madness from Jose Holebas. After Orestis Karnezis had saved a powerful Callum Wilson effort, Holebas inexplicably punched the loose ball into touch, and Josh King swept the resulting penalty into the bottom corner. Earlier Watford had taken the lead after 12 minutes when Kiko Femenia met a corner with a volley into the ground that bounced up and into the net via a deflection off King. An open game saw both sides squander several decent chances, with Will Hughes and Daryl Janmaat wasteful for the hosts and Nathan Ake planting two headers just over the crossbar. This is very much anyone's game still, so stay tuned for all the action after the break.
45'
HALF TIME WATFORD 1 BOURNEMOUTH 1
The half time whistle confirms the scoreline as one apiece at the break.
45'
SUBSTITUTION
Junior Stanislas has to be helped from the pitch, with Marc Pugh sent on for the stricken winger. That's a shame as Stanislas has been in fine form recently.
45'
STANISLAS HURT
There's an injury worry for the visitors as Stanislas goes down holding his knee and has to be granted medical attention.
43'
Penalty Kick - Goal
Penalty Kick - Goal - Joshua King (Bournemouth)
43'
GOAL!!! BOURNEMOUTH
Callum Wilson draws a diving save from Orestis Karnezis with a fierce shot from a tight angle, and the ball loops away in line with the byline, at which Jose Holebas has a moment of madness, punching it out into touch. A penalty is awarded, with Holebas booked and Etienne Capoue also cautioned for dissent, and JOSH KING strokes the spot-kick calmly into the bottom corner, sending Karnezis the wrong way.
42'
Yellow Card
Jose Holebas (Watford)
40'
SIMPLE SAVE
The open style of the game continues as the hosts go straight up the other end, where Begovic makes a fairly straightforward save from Janmaat's low 18-yard effort.
39'
COOK OFF TARGET
Jordon Ibe approaches the area at pace from the right and ignores the option of Fraser to drop his shoulder and cut inside Capoue. The former Liverpool man's shot spins wide off a yellow shirt, resulting in a corner. Steve Cook makes a clever run to the near post to meet King's cross but fails to steer his flicked header on target.
36'
FOUL THROW
You wouldn't expect to see a foul throw in the Premier League, but somehow Ryan Fraser forgets not to lift his leg off the ground.
33'
CONFIDENCE PLAYERS
Some of Watford's passing this afternoon has been top-drawer; they're playing with far more confidence than you'd expect from a team whose last result was a 5-0 loss.
30'
NO FANCY STUFF
Stanislas loses possession to Hughes with a silly flick and then hacks down his opponent just outside the penalty area in an ill-fated bid to make amends. Jose Holebas fires a disappointing free kick straight into the wall, the rebound bouncing straight back to the defender, who stings Begovic's palms with a powerful but poorly-aimed effort.
27'
HORNETS BUZZING
Hughes dances into the box on the left, and the Englishman's cutback bobbles to Abdoulaye Doucoure, who sees a hasty effort deflected comfortably wide. Watford are certainly ramping up the pressure now.
25'
NOWHERE NEAR
Stanislas rolls a pass to his right for Lewis Cook, who gets it all wrong with a horrible slice from 25 yards.
23'
WHAT A CHANCE
Femenia controls a diagonal ball out to the left and picks out the late run of Will Hughes, who scuffs a glorious chance from near the penalty spot. Deeney is in the ball's path and tries and fails to divert it goalward with his heels.
22'
CAPOUE ON THE CHARGE
Etienne Capoue sets off on a slalom run that takes him past several blue shirts to reach the edge of the area, and in the end it takes the sprawling intervention of Steve Cook to halt the midfielder.
19'
LAST-DITCH TACKLE
King steals the ball from the hesitant Mariappa and looks for a moment like he has a clear shot on goal, only for Sebastian Prodl to slide in from behind and harry the Norway forward into skewing his strike well wide of the target.
17'
DEJA VU
Stanislas and Daniels both fake run-ups to a free kick from the right, until eventually it's the former who flights it in. Again it's Ake who gets his head to the cross, and again he heads over, albeit from a more challenging location this time.
16'
DEENEY OFFSIDE
Troy Deeney is almost through on goal and can't quite connect with Daryl Janmaat's excellent pass, but the whistle had blown for offside anyway.
13'
Goal
Kiko Femenia. Assist by Jose Holebas (Watford)
13'
GOAL!!! WATFORD
Jose Holebas flights over a corner from the left, and it sails over the jostling pack to fall to Kiko Femenia, who connects nicely on the volley. The effort looks bound for the arms of Asmir Begovic until taking a sizeable deflection off Josh King as it bounces up, the result being that it nestles in the net.
4'
SO CLOSE FROM AKE
An Adrian Mariappa foul gifts Junior Stanislas the chance to curl an excellent free kick into the penalty area, where Nathan Ake reaches it ahead of the pack to thump a diving header just over the crossbar from close range.
1'
KICK OFF
Bournemouth kick us of here at Vicarage Road.

BOURNEMOUTH TEAM NEWS
Eddie Howe has stuck with a back four this week, introducing Charlie Daniels for Simon Francis, and, surprisingly, Ryan Fraser at right back for Adam Smith. Asmir Begovic has shaken off a knock to start in goal, while Harry Arter returns to the bench following injury.
0'
WATFORD TEAM NEWS
Javi Gracia has surprisingly made just two changes to the side that were trounced 5-0 by Liverpool; Miguel Britos and Richarlison drop out to be replaced by Daryl Janmaat and Will Hughes. Gerard Deulofeu, Tom Cleverley, Younes Kaboul and Christian Kabasele remain on the treatment table, but Craig Cathcart is on the bench following a seven-month injury layoff.

WATFORD V BOURNEMOUTH
It took a long time, but as we enter April a mid-table section of the Premier League has finally started to take shape. Watford and Bournemouth are both members of that exclusive club, and only need a few more points to add to their tallies of 36 each before feeling assured of top-flight status next season. To that end both managers would probably be satisfied with a draw from this afternoon's fixture, and, with the Cherries having taken more points since Christmas than any other team outside the top four, Javi Gracia may not feel confident that his team hold a home advantage. Join me, Luke Ostler, at 3pm BST for all the action from Vicarage Road.
