Manchester City capped off an amazing season in the best possible way this afternoon as broke another record to become the first team in English top-flight history to record 100 points in a single season thanks to Gabriel Jesus' last-minute winner with seconds remaining. The Brazilian forward latched on to a high through ball and took one beautiful touch to set himself before finishing with a cheeky lob over Alex McCarthy. It looked as if the game was going to end in a draw in a match which lacked many real chances. Southampton came close twice as Wesley Hoedt saw a header stopped on the line before Fernandinho cleared off the line when Dusan Tadic went round Claudio Bravo. Raheem Sterling put over for the visitors while Ilkay Gundogan dragged wide but it wasn't to matter in the end as City break yet another record in dramatic fashion.

STRUGGLING
Time is running out for City to find a goal which will set them on course for their 100 point target. It's quite worrying that they have been unable to break down teams who put ten men behind the ball. Huddersfield first and now Southampton. Pep wears a concerned look on his face as the camera pans to him.

CLEARANCE
Superb block on the line from the away side now as we have the best chance of the game. A cross to the back pos finds Tadic in acres of space after being played onside carelessly. Bravo comes off his line and Tadic dribbles by him but sees his powerful shot excellently cleared off of the line.
Fantastic save from Claudio Bravo just now. A corner is whipped in and is met by Wesley Hoedt but the Chilean gets a brilliant hand to keep it out. Cedric tries to follow up but is stopped by a key block from John Stones.

CORNER
Corner for the hosts and it's whipped over by Sane but the home side once again keep them out. Just over 15 minutes to go for a goal here.

EFFORTS
City resuming the game like they ended the first half. They're dictating the play but are unable to find a way through with Kevin De Bruyne having a couple of efforts and going close each time but no cigar.

HALF TIME
The whistle goes and it's 0-0 at the break.
45'
HALF TIME
It's all square at the break here with neither side able to find the breakthrough in what has been a game with a real end-of-season feel. City have had the lion's share of the ball but have been unable to do anything with it just yet. They went close through Raheem Sterling but the winger couldn't keep his effort down. Southampton had a chance through Wesley Hoedt but the Dutch defender's header was well kept out by Claudio Bravo's strong save. Hopefully we'll have a couple of goals in this next half, join us soon for it.
42'
DEFENDED WELL
City have come under a little pressure in the last few minutes and some good crosses have been put in by the hosts but John Stones and Aymeric Laporte dealt with them adequately so far.
37'
JUST OVER
Some good running from Raheem Sterling now sees him ease past Saints players and sends a shot arrowing at goal but it rises just above the far corner.
33'
GOAL UPDATE
It's the news that all Saints fans wanted to hear - Stoke have pulled a goal back at Swansea and can't catch Southampton as it stands. In other news Liverpool are leading Brighton thanks to a record-breaking goal from Mo Salah.
29'
FIFTEEN TO GO
Still no signs of a goal here in what has been a largely dull game so far. Guardiola stated his intention to go for 100 points mark but they haven't got going at all yet. Southampton look rather relaxed in and out of possession.

GOAL
There's been a goal at the Liberty Stadium and it's gone the way of Swansea who are now a points behind Southampton. Saints fans may be sitting slightly nervous but a significant goal-swing is still required for the hosts to go down.

FREE KICK
City come forward as they look to open the scoring but are deemed to be a little heavy-on when tussling for possession and a free kick is awarded they way of the home side.
12'
CROSSES
City have been putting in some tremendous crosses early on which the hosts have survived thus far. A couple have almost sneaked in at the far post but McCarthy has been alert to keep the ball from going in.

EASY
Man City have the first chance of the game. The ball is played into the box for Raheem Sterling to chase and the winger gets onto it but only gets a deft touch and the effort is easy for Alex McCarthy to catch.

PREVIEW
Champions Manchester City travel to Southampton this afternoon as they look to become the first team in English top-flight history to achieve 100 poins in a single season, following on from already breaking the record for points with 97, goals scored with 105 and wins recorded with 31. Southampton can still mathematically be relegated however it would take them losing and Swansea beating Stoke with a nine-goal swing - something not beyond the realms of possibility but certainly not likely to happen this afternoon. Mark Hughes' men have hit their best form since the Welshman took over in recent weeks and they're now four games unbeaten in the league even if they have only picked up maximum points on one occasion. Join Liam Fountain from 3pm GMT for all the live action and commentary.
