Chennaiyin FC into the final
It is celebration time for Chennaiyin FC and a tough time for the hosts. After being 2-0 down in the first half, the visitors came charged up for the second essay. Like FC Goa, they started attacking from the word go. A mistake from Mohammad Nawaz allowed Lallianzuala Chhangte to strike the ball into the back of the net in the 52nd minute. 7 minutes later, Nerijus Valskis with a header scored another one for the visitors. After that, Chennaiyin FC made a few more attacks and it looked like the Gaurs were running out of gas. However, in the 81st minute of the game, Edu Bedia scored one to give the hosts a glimmer of hope. Their hope and the chances got stronger as two minutes later Mourtada Fall scored his second goal of the match with another quality header. However, Chennaiyin FC held onto their nerves in the final few minutes to enter the final of the tournament. That ends the season for the Gaurs who were quite brilliant throughout. Chennaiyin FC will now wait either of ATK FC or Bengaluru FC in the final.

A thriller on the cards
Time for the second leg of the semi-finals! First up is FC Goa hosting Chennaiyin FC. FC Goa suffered a hammering at Chennaiyin's home ground and they need to buckle up and look to put in a terrific performance. The Gaurs were disappointing in the first leg as their attacking front struggled to score, managing only 1 goal in the end. The thing that will worry them the most is that they have conceded the most number of goals in the second half of this edition which was the case in the first leg as well. The defense also has to perform a lot better than they did the last time around to give themselves a chance. Their two main players, Hugo Boumous and Brandon Fernandes missed out on the first game due to injuries and FC Goa would hope that they play this all-important fixture. The hosts need to score at least 3 goals and not concede any to make it to the final. Chennaiyin FC, on the other hand, were at their brilliant best in the first leg, beating FC Goa 4-1. The Marina Machans are on a 9-match unbeaten run and would be hopeful of seeing this tie off safely. It will not be easy as the Gaurs are a strong side and they can be dangerous on their day. Chennaiyin FC were excellent on the attacking front in the last game and they would look to keep the consistency level. It is going to be a big test of character for their defenders as the home team will come out all guns blazing. Will Chennaiyin FC manage to maintain their lead or will FC Goa enter the final? No matter what happens, it promises to be an exciting contest.
