FC Goa with all three points!
An excellent second half which witnessed three goals in total, 2 for the hosts and 1 for the visitors, sees the home side go on top of the table. The second 45 though began slowly, just like it was in the first half. However, the first goal by the hosts in the 60th minute changed things. ATK FC then managed to equalize within 4 minutes through super-sub Jobby Justin. But they could not remain on level terms for long as the Gaurs scored again in the 66th minute courtesy Ferran Corominas. ATK FC then threw everything ahead. They almost scored the equalizer in the 71st minute but Mohammad Nawaz was up to the task. After that, the hosts tightened the screws at the backend and did not let ATK FC make any clear-cut chances. A well-deserved three points in the end.

Vital challenge!
Javier Hernandez dashes into the box on the left-hand side. He does really well to hold the defender who is with him and puts in a low ball which seems to be finding its way to an attacker but Lenny Rodrigues slides in and clears it out for a corner. A last-ditch clearance one can say.

GOALLL!
It is 1-1! FC Goa's lead does not last long. Jobby Justin scores with what is probably his first touch. What an impact to make! It ain't a wonder goal but he was at the right place at the right time. Roy Krishna runs through the middle and is into the box. Just as he tries to shoot, a defender puts in a tackle. The ball though is rolling towards the goal and Mohammad Nawaz dives and pushes it away but only towards Jobby Justin who smashes it in.

GOAL!!!
FC Goa have taken the lead! Mourtada Fall heads one more into the back of the net. A well-deserved lead as they have been the better side till now. Brandon Fernandes delivers the free kick towards him at the far end. Agustin Iniguez is outmuscled by Fall and then it is an open header for Fall which he does not miss. The game should probably now open up a lot more.

Jackichand Singh looks to put in a cross from the right-hand side but it hits the hand of Prabir Das and the ref gives a free kick. Good chance to put a nice ball in.

Foul
Michael Soosairaj does really well there! He goes past one and then almost goes past another but is brought down by a tackle by Seriton Fernandes. A rash tackle that, lucky to not get a card there.
49'
Well over
A good move by Goa this! Jackichand Singh slides in a nice pass for Ferran Corominas. He looks to cut it back for Jackichand Singh again. It though misses Singh and goes towards Hugo Boumous who takes a shot from just outside the box but it goes over.
48'
Poor control
Hugo Boumous shows great vision as he slides in a pass towards Jackichand Singh. The latter is free on the right-hand side of the box but fails to control the ball. It could have been a chance had he done well.
46'
Second half
We are all set to resume! It is the hosts who will get us going in this half. Here we go...
Stalemate at half time
Quite a slow affair between the two sides! Hardly there was a chance being created. Yes, FC Goa were the side who dominated more but they could not create any clear-cut chances. The visitors struggled throughout. They found it difficult to string a few passes together. However, the positive thing is their defense has been good. Let's hope a lot more open football is played in the second half and we get to see some goals.
45'
Half time
There goes the whistle and that is the end of the first half!

No one there!
A ball is chipped over the defense brilliantly for Brandon Fernandes. He has a lot of space and time but his cross is a wayward one and it finds nobody.

David Williams gets the ball inside the box on the left side. He has Seriton Fernandes with him who does really well to win the ball off him and then clear it out.

No clear-cut chances
Despite all the good moves, FC Goa are still to create a clear-cut chance. ATK FC have struggled till now but they are on level terms so it ain't very late.

A couple of passes by a few ATK FC players have been intercepted. They look switched off at the moment. Need to up their game soon.

Home side dominant!
It is the hosts who have dominated so far! The game is being played more in ATK FC's half and they look a lot likelier to open the scoring.
9'
Over
Not sure if that was a cross or a shot but seemed more like a shot. Brandon Fernandes gets a ball on the right flank. He hits it very hard towards the face of goal but it goes over. A little too ambitious there. The angle was a very narrow one.

Could have done better!
Hugo Boumous makes an excellent run down the middle and then slides in a lovely through ball for Jackichand Singh on the right. The latter has a lot of space and time ahead of him but he ends up putting in a tame cross which is cleared away for a corner.
4'
End-to-end stuff
First it is the hosts who break down the left. Hugo Boumous makes a run down the left flank and then drills in a low cross towards the centre. It is a little behind the two attackers in the box and it goes to an ATK FC player who starts an attack of his own. The ball then finds its way to David Williams who takes a shot from outside the box but it is too close to the keeper.

Let's football!
Done with the countdown and we are all set to begin. It is the visitors who get things rolling by passing the ball backwards.

The heavyweight clash!
It's truly going to be a Super Saturday as FC Goa collide with ATK FC in Match 38 of the ISL 2019/20. Both the teams have been in good form and are sitting handsomely in the top 4 of the points table. ATK have struck the right chord after losing their opener and are on a brilliant unbeaten run. Their attacking and defensive play have been top notch while the midfield has also displayed a lot of creativity. Roy Krishna has been an absolute superstar for them in in the attacking third while David Williams, Edu Garcia and Javier Hernandez have also shown scintillating form. FC Goa, on the other hand, returned to winning ways last Sunday after a couple of ordinary outings and would like to build a winning momentum from hereon. Ferran Corominas returning will boost their attacking play and the Gaurs would hope that there will be enough creativity in the midfield to assist the star striker. Goa have been found wanting in defense, notably in the second half, and they have to bring their best game in this crunch encounter against the high-flying ATK. Expect an entertaining contest!
