What a comeback!
We have witnessed one of a kind comebacks from ATK FC. They were down and out till the 86th minute. The Edu Garcia special in the 86th minute gave the away side a hope to equalize after an excellent build-up play. With continous good play, Edu Garcia was involved in another goal as he assisted Michael Soosairaj through a free-kick in the 90th minute and the forward didn't disappoint as he slotted one home off a deflection. Brilliant stuff from ATK FC. Bengaluru FC, on the other hand, were on top in the entire game but lapse in the final few minutes hurt them. The hosts scored two in the first half and were dominating the game throughout the second half as well but they let their guard down and ATK FC pounced on that opportunity to finish on level terms. A draw means that both the sides end the league stages on 2nd and 3rd respectively.

Only 3 matches remain in the group stage and in Match 88, we see Bengaluru FC host ATK FC as they aim to secure third spot on the points table. Bengaluru FC have made the semi-finals for the third consecutive season and they have to credit their defense for that. They have conceded the least amount of goals in the league so far and would want to keep that record. They have not been great on the attacking front as they have the second worst-tally in the league. They would hope to rectify that in the coming game. Their skipper, Sunil Chhetri has been the main goalscorer and the good news for them is that he has served his suspension and might return for this game. If they finish third on the table, they will face ATK FC in the semi-finals again and can take this game as a practice match. They lost their last game against Kerala Blasters FC and would hope for a better performance tonight. The visitors, on the other hand, will finish 2nd no matter what and it will be interesting to see if they give some of their key players some rest. They are coming off a loss in their previous game and would want to get back to winning ways. They have a strong attacking and defensive unit and in terms of goals, only FC Goa have scored more than them. An interesting match awaits us!
