The away side has stunned ATK FC and denied them a chance to go top of the table. After an engaging first half, the second 45 also got off to an attacking start. It was the home team who started the second half on the front foot but Roy Krishna and co. were unable to put their chances home. Kerala Blasters FC calmed their nerves and grew into the game but both sides were unable to break the backline. It looked like the game needed something special for the first goal to come and it was Halicharan Narzary who brought something special on the table. His thunderbolt 20 minutes before time gave the away side the lead. It was the Blasters who looked likely to score the second but in the final 10 minutes, the tourists defended with their soul and held their nerves when tempers started to fly and managed to get all three points away from home. This is the first time this season that the Manjappadas have won back-to-back games and with this, they also move to 6th on the points table, 4 points adrift of 4th placed Odisha FC.

An exciting, fast-paced and thrilling first half ends with both sides level. It has been a very good half of football and all it has lacked is goals. The home side started the first half on the front foot but it was the away side who grew into the game and enjoyed more possession. The visitors though did not manage to create any clear-cut chances with that. The best chances of the half fell to the home side.
