Ahead of the commencement of FIFA World Cup 2014 in Brazil, renowned sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik has created three different sand sculptures on the mega event with a message of "Good Luck" at Puri beach of Odisha.
As the 32 countries prepare to display their game before the world audience, Pattnaik has created a 9-ft high sand sculpture of World Cup trophy. He has also created a mini stadium with a football. (Also read: Pele Worried About Great Expectations for Neymar)
The Odisha sand artist created a sculpture on Thursday's opening match which will be between Brazil and Croatia.
With World Cup fever griping the entire world, the people and tourists at Puri beach are excited to watch the matches. Though India is not playing in this World Cup, still people are anxious to see the matches. Lots of tourist and local people gathered at Puri beach to see Pattnaik's sculpture. Patnaik said he used about 15 tons of sand with some colour sand and took seven hours to complete this sculpture.

The Padma Shri-awarded Sudarsan has represented India in more than 50 international sand art championships and festivals around the world and has won many prizes.
