Canada created history at the FIFA World Cup by registering their first-ever point in the tournament. Playing in their third World Cup appearance, Canada held Bosnia & Herzegovina to a 1-1 draw at Toronto Stadium. Before this result, Canada had lost all six of its previous World Cup matches across the 1986 and 2022 editions. Bosnia & Herzegovina took the lead in the first half, but Canada struck back with an 80th-minute equaliser to earn a historic point, sparking jubilant celebrations among home supporters.
