Rajasthan Royals News | Rajasthan Royals Sold For ₹15,000 Crore, Becomes 2nd Costliest IPL Team

Rajasthan Royals have been sold for over ₹15,000 crore, making them the 2nd most expensive franchise in the Indian Premier League. The team has been acquired by a consortium led by tech entrepreneur Kal Somani, with major global players including Walmart and the Ford family also part of the deal. The transaction, which still requires approval from the Board of Control for Cricket in India, will be completed after the 2026 IPL season. Current majority stakeholder Manoj Badale holds a 65% stake, and the deal marks the first major entry of top US business houses into the IPL ecosystem.
