Dinesh Chandimal looks to drive on the up but it isn't that sort of a pitch and Chandimal ends up punching it uppishly but with decent timing. Aaron Finch at mid on moves swiftly to his left and pouches it. Cummins gets the breakthrough and Sri Lanka are three down inside the first Powerplay. 34/3

15.5 OUT! RUN OUT! A huge mix-up in the middle and it has brought a wicket for Australia. Short and around off, Charith Asalanka rocks back and punches it well in front of square on the off side. The batters look for two and it seems to be quite easy but Matthew Kuhnemann attacks the ball well running to his left from the cover fence and throws it towards the bowler. Asalanka is halfway through when Kusal Mendis sends him back and Glenn Maxwell throws the ball back onto the stumps. Asalanka is nowhere in the frame and has to walk back. 56/4

17 OUT! Cleaned up! Matthew Kuhnemann with a lovely piece of bowling to get rid of the Sri Lankan captain and Australia are all over the opposition at the moment. Nice bit of flight and drifted around the pads. Dasun Shanaka backs away looking to drive through covers but gets beaten in flight. Wellalage dances down the track and looks to force the lofted shot over mid-wicket. Wellalage gets nowhere near the pitch of the ball and ends up lifting it around the mid-wicket region. Pat Cummins from mid on runs to his left and takes a solid catch. Matthew Kuhnemann gets a wicket for his hard work and Australia in total command at the moment. 61/6

43.1 OUT! TAKEN! Finally, Chamika Karunaratne mistimes one and it brings his end and also the end of the Sri Lankan innings. Pat Cummins digs it in short but takes the pace off the ball and angles it onto the body. Karunaratne tries to take it on and swings across the line. Karunaratne gets a top edge and the ball is skied around the leg gully region. The keeper Alex Carey calls for it early and settles under it nicely to take the catch. A shorter ball, quicker, this one comes in with the arm. Chamika Karunaratne stays in his crease, and taps it towards point setting off for a quick single. Marnus Labuschagne runs towards the ball, collects the ball from his right hand, and scores a direct hit at the keeper's end. Jeffrey Vandersay put in a dive there, but he was nowhere near. 85/8

41.1 OUT! CAUGHT AND BOWLED! Finally, Australia have managed to break this stand! It was starting to frustrate them. A gritty knock from Pramod Madushan comes to an end. A fuller ball, around middle, tad slower in pace. Pramod Madushan looks to drive this down the ground but ends up chipping it back to the bowler. Cameron Green takes a good return catch. This is tossed up on off stump, David Warner uses his feet to negate the turn but doesn't quite get to the pitch of the ball. Warner goes through with the shot and hits it really hard to the left of the man at mid off. Danushka Gunathilaka flies to his left and just pouches it out of thin air. Gunathilaka has hurt himself in the fall but Dunith Wellalage gets a wicket in his first over. Unfortunately, Danushka Gunathilaka is taken off the field as his shoulder seems to be in a world of pain. 14/2

1.3 OUT! CAUGHT! Maheesh Theekshana does get his man and draws first blood here. A touch fuller and spinning in from outside off. Aaron Finch gets a big stride forward and looks to sweep but the ball goes off the gloves and then off his shoulders as well, looping up around first slip. Charith Asalanka over there takes a simple catch and Finch starts walking off. Sri Lanka have the early breakthrough. 11/1

14.5 OUT! CAUGHT! Mitchell Marsh ends up giving his wicket away and the debutant, Pramod Madushan has his very first wicket in ODI cricket! After bowling tight line and lengths, Madushan pushes this one full and wide and there's some away movement on offer. Marsh goes after it and goes a bit too hard at it, ends up slciing it high and towards the backward point fence. Pathum Nissanka runs to his left from the point fence and takes a safe catch. Just when Australia looked to crawling back into the game, the set-batter is dismissed. 50/4

Josh Inglis prods forward and looks to glance this away. But the ball goes off his inside edge, onto his pads, and lobs u towards leg slip. Pathum Nissanka there takes an easy catch. 28 OUT! LBW! Dunith Wellalage comes into the attack and strikes straightaway! Much-needed wicket this for Sri Lanka. A fuller ball, this one lands around middle and spins away. Marnus Labuschagne stays in his crease and tries to block this but he misses and gets hit on his back pad. A huge appeal for LBW, and the umpire raises his finger. Marnus Labuschagne opts for a review immediately. No bat involved there! Ball tracking indicated three reds! This game is still alive! Marnus Labuschagne walks back. 101/5

This is drifted in beautifully onto middle and leg and on a nagging length. Glenn Maxwell is pushed back as the ball grips and turns away.
