Finch looks to go over the top and throws his bat towards the ball without using his feet. The ball goes off the bottom of his blade towards left of mid off and Kane Williamson takes an easy catch. Tim Southee bowls this on a good length and just outside the off pole, Steven Smith looks to heave this towards the leg side but does not connect well. He gets a top edge and the ball goes high towards mid on. Trent Boult settles under the ball and takes an easy catch. There were many overs remaining and Steven Smith could have spent some more time at the wicket. 117/8

6.4 OUT! LBW! Trent Boult has been rewarded for his disciplined bowling! He serves a fullish delivery pitching in line with the middle stump, gets the ball to nip back in and Marnus Labuschagne plays outside the line of the ball. Gets hit flush on the pads and there is an appeal. The umpire raises his finger and Marnus Labuschagne decides to review this. 8.3 OUT! PLUMB!  Australia are falling apart here! Trent Boult strikes once again and traps the batter in front of the wicket. He serves a fraction fuller delivery pitching in line with the middle stump and gets the ball to straighten after pitching. Marcus Stoinis does not move his feet and is trapped deep in the crease as the ball crashes into the pads. Trent Boult turns around and enquires with the umpire who has no hesitation in lifting his finger. Marcus Stoinis decides to review and UltraEdge shows there is no bat involved. Ball Tracking indicates that the ball is hitting the middle of the middle stump and this has been a poor review from Australia. They lose their fourth wicket and are in some serious trouble. 26/4

18.3 OUT! STUMPED! New Zealand have the breakthrough and it is Mitchell Santner who delivers! He floats one full and outside off, Alex Carey goes for a reverse sweep but misses and drags his back foot out off the crease as he looks to play the shot. Tom Latham collects the ball and whips the bails off in a jiffy. He is confident as he is already celebrating the wicket. The leg umpire goes upstairs and they check UltraEdge first. There is no bat involved and the side angle shows that Alex Carey has nothing behind the crease. It is just a difference of one frame but he has to make the long walk back. 32.5 OUT! CAUGHT! The move to bring Trent Boult back into the attack has paid rich dividends! He gets rid of Glenn Maxwell and breaks this partnership. This was probably going to be the last over of this spell and Maxwell just needed to play out these last two deliveries. However, his patience runs out finally and that means that Australia are six down now. This is clever bowling from Boult though, he bowls it short and angles it into the body from 'round the wicket. Maxwell goes for the pull shot. However, he gets a top edge and the ball goes in the air towards deep square leg. 44 OUT! CAUGHT! Well, was this needed? Adam Zampa tries to hit Boult for a boundary off his last ball of this game but perishes in the process. Boult bowls it on a length and it is a slower delivery. Zampa makes room and tries to lift it over mid off. The ball, however, goes off the bottom of his blade and loops up in the air towards left of mid off. James Neesham runs to his left and takes a fine diving catch. Nine wicket down now. 148/9

0.5 OUT! TAKEN! This time he is caught and Martin Guptill departs early! Starc strikes in his first over and this was just what they needed to keep their spirits high. Starc bowls this one very cleverly. Pushes it full and wider outside off. Guptill goes for a big drive away from his body. However, he only manages to get a thick outside edge and the ball goes quite quickly towards first slip. Finch takes a sharp catch and Australia celebrate. 2/1

8.2 OUT! CAUGHT! What an outstanding bowling change and Sean Abbott strikes immediately! He serves this on a good length and straying down leg, Sean Abbott swivels and looks to lift this over the fine leg fielder. Does not get a good connection and the ball floats into the palms of Adam Zampa who gets both hands to it but still fumbles slightly. He manages to hold on though and New Zealand have lost both their openers. 14/2

18.1 OUT! LBW! Kane Williamson's labored knock has come to an end! Adam Zampa bowls a loopy full toss in line with the stumps, Kane Williamson sees an opportunity to score runs and his eyes light up. He looks to heave this into the leg side but misses the ball altogether. The ball goes on to hit the pads right in front of the wicket and Adam Zampa runs off in celebration. The umpire raises his finger and after long consideration, Kane Williamson decides to review. Hotspot shows there is no bat involved and Ball Tracking has umpire's call on wicket's hitting. The batter obliges and pushes at the ball but gets a thick outside edge that flies to first slip. Aaron Finch takes the catch quite well and New Zealand are crumbling in this run chase. Sean Abbott has come into the attack and turned the tide in his team's favor. 14/3

Daryl Mitchell departs and sadly for New Zealand, this chase is going nowhere at the moment for them. This is tossed up, on off. Daryl Mitchell gets across and tries to reverse-sweep it. He, however, misses. The ball hits his pads and there is a huge appeal and the umpire eventually raises his finger. Daryl Mitchell after consulting his partner takes the review but it does not make any difference as the Snicko shows no bat there and the Ball Tracking shows three reds as well. Daryl Mitchell has to take that long walk back to the pavilion. 38/5

25.1 OUT! CAUGHT! Mitchell Starc strikes and another one bites the dust! He serves this on a fuller length and angles the ball into the stumps, Michael Bracewell looks to flick this leg side but does not connect well and the ball hits the pads. The ball lobs into the air and Glenn Maxwell at backward point comes running forward and takes a fine catch. There is a massive appeal for LBW initially but the umpire remains unmoved. Marcus Stoinis bowls it full on middle. James Neesham flicks it but does so uppishly and ends up hitting it straight to Aaron Finch at mid-wicket. James Neesham has fallen right in the trap set by the Aussies there and they now need a special effort from hereon to win this one. 45/6

26.4 OUT! BOWLED! Too good for Tim Southee this and it has really been a great bowling effort from the Aussies. This is lovely bowling by Zampa. He bowls a perfect googly that pitches around off and turns into Southee. He tries to defend it off the front foot. However, the ball sneaks between his bat and pad and shatters the stumps. Australia are just two wickets away now from sealing this series. 57/8

33 OUT! LBW! It's all over! New Zealand have been bowled out for just 82! Adam Zampa flights a googly really full and pitching on off, Trent Boult looks to sweep this one but is early into the shot. The ball goes on to hit the pads. The Aussies think it is all over and after some contemplation, the umpire finally raises his finger. Trent Boult decides to review this and why not? There is no inside edge as confirmed by Snicko and Ball Tracking shows umpire's call on wicket's hitting as the ball is just clipping the leg stump.
