Quinton de Kock, undoubtedly receives the Man of the Series award for the three back to back centuries he scored during this series. India play a tour game before the first Test. The first Test between these two nations begins on 18th December in Johannesburg. Do join us for the coverage. Till then, cheers and goodbye!
South Africa dominated India pretty massively in this series. Their batting, bowling and fielding were raised to top standards against the number one ranked side in ODIs. India were given a reality check and thus, have a lot to work on for the two Tests that lie ahead in a few days' time.
Unfortunately rain has refused to leave cricket at Centurion alone and the entire second innings has been called off. South Africa, therefore have taken the series 2-0. India would have hoped to restore some confidence before the Test series begins but now they will have to achieve the same when the first Test begins.
The thunderstorm threat has turned real, some rain has hit Centurion and the covers are in full swing in the middle. We will definitely have a delayed resumption.
Ishant Sharma was the pick of the bowlers for India with four wickets. The pitch still looks a good one and if India play to their strengths there are good chances of chasing it down. Join us in a while for India's reply.
A brilliant batting performance from South Africa. They were struggling early on at 28/3 but then de Kock and de Villiers turned the match around with a splendid partnership of 171. They were lucky to survive few dropped chances and made most of it as they romped to their respective centuries. Miller then played a brisk knock of 56 from 34 deliveries to propel South Africa past the 300 mark.
