Mohammad Junaid Siddique Profile

Zunaed Siddique is a left-handed opening batsman who plays for Rajshahi Division in the first-class circuit of Bangladesh. Nicknamed ‘Imrose’ by his team mates, he made his first-class debut in 2003-04 as a 16 year-old and went on to impress the selectors.

Zunaed was pitch-forked into the Bangladesh A team at a very young age. He also managed to make it to the 30-member squad for the 2007 ICC Cricket World Cup, but failed to make the cut. However, he was soon chosen for the 2007-08 series against New Zealand in alien conditions, where he made both, his ODI and Test debuts. Zunaed scored only one run in the first innings, but slammed a 70 in the second and was involved in a 160-run stand with Tamim Iqbal. His next six innings though, brought him only 100 odd runs. Zunaed had a good T20I debut though, smashing his way to a 71 in the World Twenty20 against Pakistan.
