Mithun Manhas is an all-rounder from Delhi who made his debut in first-class cricket in the 1997-98 season. In spite of playing well throughout his career, he never got a place in the Indian squad due to the presence of stalwarts like Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, VVS Laxman, etc. Manhas stabilized the middle-order of the Delhi Ranji team and also captained it for most of the new millennium in the absence of players like Virender Sehwag and Gautam Gambhir. He scored 921 runs in the 2007-08 season with an average of 57.56.
Earlier a part of Delhi in the Indian T20 league, Manhas was later signed by the Pune franchise in 2011 before being picked up by Chennai in 2014.
