Andrew Malcolm Ellis Profile

One of the six newcomers to be drafted into New Zealand’s T20I and ODI squad against Zimbabwe in January 2012, all-rounder Andrew Ellis has been a known name since he made his debut in first-class cricket in 2002 for Canterbury.

Right since his early days, Ellis has been in and out with injuries. He has had five stress fractures to his lower back with a surgery on his back in 2010 paving way for instant results. His maiden first-class hundred in 2010 followed with an astonishing performance in the 2011-12 season, saw his wait for 10 years end finally when he was called into the Kiwi national squad.
