Koralegedera Nadeeja Ashen Bandara Profile
Koralegedera Nadeeja Ashen Bandara established himself as a dynamic middle-order batter, leg-spin option, and exceptional athletic fielder in Sri Lankan domestic cricket. He first rose through the national age-group structures, representing Sri Lanka at the Under-19 level and featuring in the 2018 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup.
His domestic career picked up momentum with Saracens Sports Club and later Colombo Cricket Club, where his agile fielding and ability to accelerate during the middle and death overs made him a key middle-order presence across First-Class, List A, and T20 competitions.
Bandara earned his international debut for Sri Lanka in March 2021 during the tour of the West Indies, featuring in both the T20I and ODI series. He made an immediate impression in the white-ball format, scoring his maiden international half-century with an unbeaten 55 in an ODI against the West Indies at Coolidge, showing composure under pressure alongside the lower order.
He went on to represent Sri Lanka in multiple international assignments, including bilateral series against India and Bangladesh, as well as being part of the squad for the 2022 ICC Men's T20 World Cup in Australia and the 2023 Asian Games in Hangzhou.
In franchise and domestic cricket, Bandara featured prominently for franchises like Kandy Falcons and Galle Gladiators in the Lanka Premier League, operating primarily as a middle-order finisher. Continuing his domestic career through the 2025-26 and 2026 seasons, he remained a consistent performer for Colombo Cricket Club across the Major Clubs Limited Over Tournament and Major Clubs T20 competition.
In September 2026, Bandara received another major national call-up when Sri Lanka Cricket selected him in the men's squad for the 2026 Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya. Included among a strong representative contingent under Sahan Arachchige, his selection underscored his standing as an integral white-ball middle-order option.
