Dwaraka Ravi Teja is a right-handed batsman from Andhra Pradesh. As an opening batsman, he was a regular in the India Under-19 setup before enjoying a prolific Ranji season with Hyderabad.
Teja was the leading run-scorer in the 2007 season with 653 runs at an average close to 60. This gave him a direct entry on the big IPL stage when he was signed by the Deccan Chargers in 2008, now known as the Sunrisers Hyderabad.
