The trophy has been handed over to Shakib, he along with his teammates are now seen taking pictures with it. A proud moment for him and his side. They have bounced back brilliantly after being thrashed in the Test series. Windies on the other hand will be disappointed in not winning the T20I series, a format in which they are surely amongst the best. Nevertheless they now have to put all that behind and focus on what is coming up. For now, it is time for us to say goodbye. We have loved your company and wish to see you around next time. Till then, take care.
Bangladesh skipper and Man of the Series, Shakib Al Hasan, says they showed a lot of character, especially after losing the first game. They take a lot of confidence from here and he hopes they can kick on. He further adds he was batting and bowling well throughout and he hopes it continues. Mentions they have been doing really well in the shorter format and this win will give them a lot of confidence when they play against other big teams. Ends by thanking the support that the crowd has given them.
Man of the Match, Liton Das, says he feels really good beating the Windies as they are the World Champion. The wicket he felt was really good for batting as it was similar to the surface back home. He thanks god and feels fortunate for scoring his first fifty in T20Is.
Windies skipper, Carlos Brathwaite, says they could have won the game if they had kept wickets in hand. Credits his bowlers to pull things back after the start Bangladesh got. Admits Bangladesh played better cricket and congratulates them. Ends by saying Rovman Powell's batting and Ashley Nurse's bowling have been the positives in this tour.
Powell and Ramdin did build a good 45-run partnership but it did not come at a rate which was required. Russell then came out all guns blazing, clearing boundaries at will and evoked belief in the Windies camp but he lacked support from the other end. His blitzkrieg meant the hosts needed 50 from the last three, something which other teams have managed to achieve in the past but his wicket was the final nail in the coffin. He fell prey to the most impressive bowler in this series, Mustafizur Rahman, who finished with another 3-fer before rain intervened once again. The Windies were 19 runs behind from where they had to be at the end of 17.1.
Another clinical performance by them. This time it was set up by their batsmen, Liton Das especially whose 32 ball 61 in the first innings helped his side set a target which was surely above par on this sluggish surface. With runs on the board, their bowlers came out and bowled excellent lines and length. Used all their variations to great effect and had the Windies 3 down with not a lot on the scoreboard in the Powerplay.
So that is it! The customary handshakes happening as the game has been called off and Bangladesh, courtesy the DLS method, have won the game and the series 2-1. Their players are out there and are having a complete ball. A few players performing some dance moves in front of the crowd while the others soak in the applause from their supporters. They deserve every bit of it as they have come out victorious against all odds.
Well, the rain is back! Bangladesh won't mind though as they are winning according to the DLS method. it is pouring down at the moment. Let us hope it is once again a passing shower and we get the remaining overs in.

Mustafizur Rahman To Andre Russell OUT!
OUT! Game, set and match! It has to be, right? Well, looking at the way the Bangladesh players are celebrating, they surely feel so. A low full toss on off, not the easiest of deliveries to put away. Russell does try to hit it over the long off fence but it goes off the lower part of the bat. Ariful Haque there does really well to judge it and takes it just inside the rope with the fingers pointing towards the sky. End of a power-packed innings by Russell, he walks back dejected but he is the reason why the Windies have gotten so close in the first place.
Mustafizur Rahman is back on.

Abu Hider To Ashley Nurse
Clever from Russell. He does not take the single as Nurse gets a thick outside edge towards third man. 14 from this over and they need half of 100 from the last three overs.

Full on off, Russell hits it down to long off for a run.

Abu Hider To Andre Russell
SIX! Russell continues hitting maximums despite losing partners. Another slower ball on off, Russell this time picks it and once you do that. It is a free hit. He waits for it and then smashes it over the long off fence.
Ashley Nurse strides out to bat.

Abu Hider To Carlos Brathwaite OUT!
OUT! Brathwaite holes out! Another failure for him. Excellent change of length by Hider. He bangs it short outside off, Carlos may not have expected it as his weight is on the front foot. He still tries to drag his pull but only gets a top edge which lobs towards long on where the substitute, Sabbir Rahman, cups it by taking a couple of steps backward.

Abu Hider To Andre Russell
Changes the angle and comes around the wicket. Bowls a slower one and Russell hits it towards deep mid-wicket for a run. Bangladesh will be happy with the fact that he is not on strike.

Abu Hider To Andre Russell
SIX! This one is colossal! WOW! He is keeping the Windies alive here. This is right in his arc, full and on middle, Russell tonks it over the long on fence. Pressure on the bowler now. They need this to be a huge over, a 20 run over or maybe even more.
In comes Abu Hider for the 17th over.

Rubel Hossain To Carlos Brathwaite
Brilliant from Rubel Hossain! Just 5 from his last over as he finishes with figures of 4-0-28-1. He bowls it full and wide outside off, CB swings but misses. 64 from 24, the run chase now looks a farfetched one.

Still no boundaries in this over! Full and outside off, Carlos hits it through covers and the batsmen take two.

Another single! Singles won't do for the Windies. Russell clobbers this down to long off for just a run.

Now a dot! Very well bowled! Bowls it wide outside off, Russell maybe not expecting that line and hence lets it be.

Rubel Hossain To Carlos Brathwaite
The big man tries to be cheeky with a paddle scoop but misses to get hit on the pads. The ball rolls towards square leg and the batsmen run a leg bye. Good start by Rubel, just two singles from the first two.

Well bowled! A yorker one middle, it also tails back in. Russell tries to go big but gets an inside edge through mid-wicket for a run.

Shakib Al Hasan To Carlos Brathwaite
Loopy outside off, eased to covers for nothing. Shakib finishes another good spell. His figures read 4-0-22-1 and Windies need 69 off last 5 overs. Can they do it? Russell surely can! It's a test of nerves now.

Shakib Al Hasan To Carlos Brathwaite
Four Byes! Windies won't mind that. The uneven bounce in the pitch comes to the aid of the hosts. Shakib bowls a fuller ball outside off, Russell looks to get bat to it from his crease but the ball scrapes along the track and through the legs of Rahim behind the sticks. The ball races to the fence. So, after 3 singles off the first 4 balls, a boundary results.
