That's all. Another game and another night where Hyderabad managed to defend a total. They stay on the top and are going from strength to strength under their new skipper. On the other hand, Bangalore once again came in with so much of promise but faltered just like every season. Anyway, life has to move on and Indian T20 League cycle will now move to Sawai Mansingh Stadium on Tuesday which will see Rajasthan hosting Punjab. Do join us at 2000 Local (1430 GMT) for all the action. Until then, goodbye and cheers!
Man of the Match goes to Kane Williamson for his brilliant knock of 56 from 39 balls on a tough pitch to bat on. He scored his fifth half century of the season and anchored the innings to make sure he gives something to his bowlers to bowl at.
Siddarth Kaul and Bhuvneshwar Kumar through their perfect execution hit proper lengths, took the pace off cunningly, speared in some lethal yorker and defended down the total with relative ease. Hyderabad now have won 5 games on the trot and become the first team to bag 16 points to almost confirm their berth in the playoffs. As far as Bangalore are concerned, this dismal show should give you a perfect picture about how their season was. They are just not able to step up and with this loss they are all but out of the tournament one would feel.
Bangalore had their noses in front as they had some luck going their way. But.... An exceptional catch from Yusuf Pathan saw the back of Virat Kohli and then Rashid Khan sent the big fish, AB de Villiers back as well to tilt the game back in their favor. Those two wickets gave Hyderabad supreme control over the game. It seemed like this would lead to a procession but Mandeep Singh and Colin de Grandhomme didn't give up. They fought hard and the Kiwi's blitz in Rashid's last over once again turned the game as the equation came down to 25 from 18 balls.
The Orange Army, take a bow! They are truly the 'Masters of Defense'! Yet again they have come out victorious while defending a total and boy, they are making it a habit. Incredible stuff! Riding on Kane Williamson's 50 and his 64-run stand with Shakib, Hyderabad crawled their way to 146 somehow. The wicket was sticky which meant that the hosts wouldn't have been ruled out at all. When the chase began, Bangalore openers got them off to a good start. Patel departed but Kohli came out all guns blazing and started to attack from the word go. They were going pretty well and had the run rate well under control.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar To Colin de Grandhomme OUT!
OUT! HYDERABAD HAVE WON IT BY 5 RUNS! Just how do you hit those over the fence? Just, how? Take a bow, Kumar. An exceptional penultimate over has been followed by an even better last over by one of the best death bowlers going around. A yorker to end everything and it is outside off. De Grandhomme walks across and tries to flick but he only manages to get a thick inside edge onto his stumps.
6 needed from 1 ball. Can Colin de Grandhomme strike a maximum? Here comes Bhuvi running in...

lb
Bhuvneshwar Kumar To Mandeep Singh
So they need a biggie from the last ball as there is only a run from this ball. This is outstanding stuff from Bhuvneshwar Kumar. A lot of people will be expecting for him to go for the slower one but he bowls a seam up ball on the pads. Mandeep goes for the flick but it hits the pad and goes towards point. The batsmen run a leg bye.

1
Bhuvneshwar Kumar To Colin de Grandhomme
Another single! This is exceptional bowling by Kumar. He bowls a yorker again on middle, Colin whips it down to long on. They should run two but no, they only take on. 7 from 2.
19.3
1
Bhuvneshwar Kumar To Mandeep Singh
Goes for the smart option as he tries to paddle scoop Bhuvi over short fine leg. However, Bhuvneshwar is right upto the mark as he bowls the slower one outside off. Mandeep has no pace to work with and he finds that fielder. Only a run.

2
Bhuvneshwar Kumar To Mandeep Singh
A brace this time. Low full toss on middle, Mandeep hits it down to long on. The complete one, Colin wants a second and they go for it and complete it. Not sure if that was the right idea by Colin to go for the second. 9 needed from 4.

1
Bhuvneshwar Kumar To Colin de Grandhomme
A brilliant delivery to start with. A yorker on middle, Colin hits it down to long on, only for a run. Singles won't do it for Bangalore.
12 needed from 6. It will be the death over specialist Bhuvneshwar who will bowl the final over.

Siddarth Kaul To Colin de Grandhomme
Yes, he does! Perfect yorker, Colin could only jam it out towards the off side. Just 7 from the 19th over.

1
Siddarth Kaul To Mandeep Singh
Superb ball again! Fuller and angling back in, almost a yorker, Singh makes room to hit it away but gets an inside edge towards short third man. Another single. Can he finish it well?

1
Siddarth Kaul To Colin de Grandhomme
Fuller ball, driven hard but straight to Williamson at extra cover. Only a single. What an over this is turning out to be.

1
Siddarth Kaul To Mandeep Singh
Safe and truly in! Back of a length delivery outside off, Mandeep bottom edges his attempted cut shot behind the keeper and Colin asks him to cross. Saha underarms a throw at the striker's end and hits it as the batsman drags his bat in. It's referred upstairs and replays fine the Kiwi safe.
Run out appeal against de Grandhomme. He seems to be home though.

2
Siddarth Kaul To Mandeep Singh
In the air... safe! Short and outside off, Singh slaps it over covers. Rashid at sweeper overruns but then does well to stick his left hand out and stop it. They take a couple.

1
Siddarth Kaul To Colin de Grandhomme
Fuller in length and angling in, dragged off the inner half to deep mid-wicket. A single to start the over.
Siddarth Kaul to bowl the penultimate over. Bhuvi is seen having a chat with him. 19 needed from 12 balls. This over will decide the game!

So just 6 from the over even though he had gone for a boundary. A full toss on middle, de Grandhomme hits it down to long on for a run.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar To Colin de Grandhomme
Just five from the over so far as there is another dot. The idea was not wrong by Colin but the execution was not quite there. On a length around off, Colin tries to pierce the gap between backward point and short third man but finds the fielder at the former position.

Another swing but Colin only connects with thin air. Outside off the slower ball. Colin goes for the cut but misses.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar To Colin de Grandhomme
FOUR! Fortune is favoring Bangalore here! This is an excellent delivery. A yorker on off. Colin tries to jam it out but gets a bottoem edge past the keeper for a boundary. 20 from 15.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar To Mandeep Singh
Good length and outside off, Madeep does the smart thing by turning the strike over to his partner Coil who is striking the ball really well.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar is back on.
