So that is it from game 48 of the Indian T20 League folks. All teams have played 12 each and there are still two spots up for grabs. Hyderabad have inched one step closer to picking up one of those two spots while Punjab feel a lot of pressure now going into their final two games. They have time to sort that out though. For Match number 49, we head to Bengaluru where Bangalore host Rajasthan in what is a must-win clash for them to keep their hopes alive. A royal clash in store, that will begin at 2000 local (1430 GMT) on Tuesday evening. See you for the same! Till then, it is goodbye from us. Take care!
David Warner is the Man of the Match for his belligerent 81 in the first innings which was also his last one this year. Warner says that it is great to get out there and do his job properly. Thanks the curator for preparing a lovely wicket on which batting has been easy and excellent for them to put runs on the board. When asked how he has kept his batting in flow depsite being outside the game for a year, he replies that maybe the break indeed helped him where he took a break and was a good husband as well as worked on the game to become better. Believes it is skill which matters in the end. He states that there are quality batsmen in the squad who will ensure that he is not missed too much at the top. Informs that this tournament has given him good confidence going into the World Cup, wants to do the best for the team there too with the bat. Reckons that event will be played in different conditions in England where the home team will be a top force to deal with. Signs off by thanking the crowd for coming out and supporting him every time he has played in Hyderabad.
Victorious Hyderabad skipper, Kane Williamson says throughout the season teams are looking for points and now is the crunch stage and he is happy to take the points in this game. Feels that Warner has been world class throughout the tournament and reckons there is a bit of work for the rest to do as he departs now. Further adds that they have 2 games left which are really important and they want to win it. Tells us that there are some guys who have not yet played but are rearing to go. Signs off by saying that he is not looking too far in front and is taking one game at a time.
Rashid Khan is here for a small interview, he thanks God firstly for his performance where he picked 3 wickets. He mentions that it was a team effort and specially praises the batsmen to get them over 200 on a 180-run wicket. He then thinks that the bowlers bowled to plan as well in the second innings. About his own performance, he says that he tried to mix his lengths up and he was successful. Signs off by stating that David Warner has been exceptional for them and this win is a good send off for him. Mentions that they will miss him, wishes him luck for the World Cup and hopes that the other batsmen in the squad will make up for the void at the top of the order.
Punjab skipper, Ravichandran Ashwin says it is not right to think what happened in the past and reckons there is no deja vu when asked if this situation was just like last year. Admits that they were outplayed in this game and it was one of the only games this year that the opposition outplayed them in all departments. Ashwin feels that they have struggled to chase totals around 190 and he feels it's an issue of balance. He says that they conceded too much with the ball in the Powerplay but pulled it back later on. Ashwin statess that they need to keep their chins up and move on to the next game as he feels there is good energy and ability in the squad, they have to just try and keep winning all the games at this stage of the League.
As for the bowling of the hosts, Rashid Khan was brilliant picking 3 wickets conceding just 21 runs while Khaleel too picked up 3. The others didn't fare too badly either and thus, the away side never got near the mammoth total that was put on the board by the hosts mainly on the back of a brilliant 81 by David Warner, who was playing his last game of the League this year. Hyderabad thus got to 12 points and put a breathing space between them and the 5th placed side, Kolkata as all sides have played 12 games each. The thoughts of the losing captain, an interview and the presentation to follow...
Coming to bat staring at a daunting target of 213, Punjab did not get to the best of starts as Chris Gayle departed early. The big man needed to give a good start at least but was dismissed early. Wickets kept falling at the other end even as KL Rahul was standing strong. That though meant that Rahul could never exactly completely go after the bowling as he held up one end together. The required run rate eventually escalated to heights that could not be scaled down and in the end, Hyderabad coasted home.
Hyderabad have won their final home game and in some style. They have absolutely outplayed Punjab tonight and massively boosted their chances of finishing in the Top 4 this season. 212 was always a huge score to defend on this ground and their bowlers rose to the occasion in exceptional fashion, ensuring a massive win which boosts their already amazing net run rate which could come to play at the end of the League phase.

Sandeep Sharma To Simran Singh OUT!
OUT! Umpire's call it is and the batsman will have to depart. The impact was umpire's call and the ball too was just about clipping the stumps. Yorker on leg, Simran looks to clear his front leg and go for the heave. He misses and the ball hits him the pads. Sandeep goes up in appeal. The umpire raises his finger. Singh takes it upstairs and replays show that it was good enough to stay with the on field umpire's decision.
Review time! Simran has been adjudged LBW here as he has missed the ball looking for a slog. It looked to the naked eye that it could be missing leg and hence, Simran has taken it upstairs. Let's see what the replays have to say...
Sandeep Sharma to bowl the final over of the innings.

Khaleel Ahmed To Lokesh Rahul OUT!
OUT! That is an excellent catch! These high ones are not easy but then the fielder was Kane Williamson. An off cutter on length from Khaleel, Rahul backs away and looks to hit it over cover but the ball goes really high towards mid off. Kane from cover runs a long way, keeps his eye on the ball and takes the ball with a dive even as it got a little away from him. Brilliant catching! Punjab's best batsman tonight departs. Khaleel gets his 3rd wicket of the evening.

Khaleel Ahmed To Lokesh Rahul
The ball has stopped there! A length ball on off, Rahul pull-slogs this one away to the leg side in the mid-wicket region. The ball went high and not long. It bounces a couple of times before Shankar tries to pat it inside. He does not do so cleanly but luckily for him, the ball just stops inside the rope. Nabi picks it up and throws it back. 2 runs taken only.
Khaleel Ahmed to bowl the 19th over. 56 off 12 is the equation.
