Well, we finally have our two finalists. Hyderabad overcame Kolkata in the latter's backyard and made their way to the final to battle it out with Chennai for glory. The epic encounter will take place on Sunday, 27th May, at 1900 local (1330 GMT) at the Wankhede Stadium. Expect a full stadium and a great atmosphere. Join in for the action then. Goodbye!
Man of the Match, Rashid Khan says it was a much-needed performance for him and he just tries to give his best every time. States that the focus was to maintain his concentration and hit the ball as it came. Let's everyone know that he started his career as a batsman, so he isn't totally alien to the big hits. Informs that the plan was to play straight, as the coaches and Mohammad Nabi always advise him to. Reckons that he always tries to improve his fitness and like every time, give his all in the field as well. Ends his interview by sending out a word of support and solidarity to the people back home who are suffering because of the recent bomb blasts.
Kane Williamson says the game could have gone either way in those crunch moments but is glad the boys got the job done. Credits Rashid Khan for his all-round performance with bat, ball and in the field. Continues saying that in such a must-win game, like on most occasions, he always stands up and delivers for the team. Remains humble when his captaincy is applauded and applauds the entire team for the effort it puts in and sticks together as a group. On the three changes, Williamson mentions that despite that, the balance of the team wasn't compromised which was the key. Adds that the players coming in played their part and it's been a collective effort. Wants to perform well again at the Wankhede and get the job done.
Dinesh Karthik says they played a good tournament so obviously feels disappointed to miss out now. States a couple of bad shots at the wrong time from the batsmen, including himself, cost them the game. Reckons there are plenty of positives to take, especially the youngsters coming up and showing what they are capable of.
Rashid Khan not only played a big role with the ball but his cameo with the bat also came in handy. His unbelievable knock helped Hyderabad post a very challenging total which eventually proved to be enough. It won't be wrong to say that the Afghan single-handedly ended Kolkata's dream with an all-round performance. A good run for the home team this season, they peaked superbly towards the end but it wasn't their night as they bow out. Presentation coming up...
Kolkata planned their chase well initially. It was going all hunky-dory for them as their openers looked to score quick runs and provided a solid platform. It was always supposed to be a tough task for them against Hyderabad's spinners, especially Rashid Khan and that turned out to be their undoing. The Afghan started it all with a brilliant piece of fielding to get Nitish Rana run out and then went on to remove Robin Uthappa, Chris Lynn and Andre Russell with his smart variations. Shakib Al Hasan also bowled tidily from one end and picked up the prized scalp of Dinesh Karthik. Shubman Gill though showed promise but the asking rate was too much to handle for the youngster and he eventually succumbed. All in all, a clinical performance in the field, well led by Kane Williamson and Hyderabad find themselves in the summit clash.
Hyderabad have set a date with Chennai on Sunday for the Indian T20 League trophy! It wasn't a perfect last over by Carlos Brathwaite but it was enough to defend the runs in the bank. The West Indian once again has emerged hero at his favourite ground by holding his nerve under immense pressure. What a win for the Orange Army! They have not only ended their losing streak but have also booked their place in the final.

Carlos Brathwaite To Kuldeep Yadav
That's it! Kuldeep smacks it to long off. It's not enough, they miss out. HYDERABAD WIN! The Orange Army celebrates as they know they enter the big stage. Fists pumping everywhere, celebratory hugs all around, ecstasy fleeting about.

Carlos Brathwaite To Kuldeep Yadav
Fuller in length outside off, Kuldeep fails to make connection.

Carlos Brathwaite To Kuldeep Yadav
Safe! Brathwaite fires a yorker just outside off, Kuldeep looks to dig it out but hands it back down the track which the bowler catches. Now, an appeal is made and the umpire isn't sure whether it's a bump ball or not. Takes it upstairs and replays show the batsman is safe.
Appeal for a caught and bowled. The umpire takes it upstairs to check whether it's a bump ball or not. Piyush Chawla the man in question.
Prasidh Krishna is the last man in. He won't face the hat-trick ball.

W
Carlos Brathwaite To Shubman Gill OUT!
OUT! Two in two for Carlos Brathwaite and this time he sends Shubman Gill back. Game over it seems for Kolkata. Full on the pads, Gill looks to loft it cleanly over mid-wicket. Lot of height, clearly not enough distance. Down the throat of Rashid Khan once again who settles under it and gobbles it up.
Kuldeep Yadav walks out to bat.

W
Carlos Brathwaite To Shivam Mavi OUT!
OUT! The change in angle does the trick. Brathwaite pitches it up there, Mavi makes a little room and slogs it over mid-wicket. Good connection, but not enough height on it. Picks out Rashid Khan to perfection who's not going to miss that.

4
Carlos Brathwaite To Shivam Mavi
FOUR! Shivam Mavi with a boundary right off the first ball. 15 needed in 5. Full and wide outside off, he just throws everything at it and gets a thick edge. It goes down to third man and crosses the rope.
Carlos Brathwaite to bowl the final over. He has 18 runs to defend. Difficult task, but with the way Shubman Gill is playing, it just might be possible. Also, an FYI, it was at this same venue where Brathwaite had scored 4 sixes against Ben Stokes in the final over of the 2016 World T20 final. He will be bowling this time around.

SIX! Gill manages to get under this one. Uses the depth of the crease to go back, positions himself well and smokes this full delivery over wide long off. The leaping fielder there couldn't do anything about it.

Siddarth Kaul To Shubman Gill
In the air but it's safe. Gill manages to clear the infield over covers and picks up two runs for doing so.

Keeps it very full, well outside off, driven square on the off side for a single.

Full on middle and leg, flicked aerially over mid-wicket. There's a man out in the deep, so just a single.

Siddarth Kaul To Shivam Mavi
Chance of a run out. Direct hit and Hyderabad would have said goodbye to Shubman Gill. Kaul though, giving nothing away once more. Spears in a yorker on middle, Mavi digs it out in front of cover and both batsmen take off. Williamson charges in, takes the ball and has a shy at the striker's end, but misses.
Shivam Mavi out to bat. Now, two U-19 boys take center stage. Can the young guns produce something special?

Siddarth Kaul To Piyush Chawla OUT!
OUT! Couldn't have made a more perfect start to this vital over. Siddarth Kaul is right on the money with this full ball. Keeps it in line of the stumps. Chawla swings to go big downtown but only gets a thick edge back onto the stumps. He's gone. Hyderabad mildly celebrate, they can feel it but know there's still plenty left to do.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar To Shubman Gill
Dropped and FOUR! Needed that. Really needed that. Gill keeps it alive. Hammers this full delivery straight back. Bhuvneshwar sticks his hands out but it's hit too hard. It goes behind and away to the fence for a boundary. 30 to win off 12 deliveries.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar To Piyush Chawla
Keeps it full once again, yorker just outside leg. Chawla makes room and drives it back to Kumar, who is a bit sloppy to get low and stop it. Parries it towards mid off and concedes a single. Is understandably annoyed with himself at that.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar To Shubman Gill
No boundary. Only manages a single down to long on. It was full on the stumps, drilled it down the ground.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar To Piyush Chawla
Swinging away, yorker on off, Chawla digs it out in front of point and brings Gill on strike. He has to go for it in this over now.
