A good game for both teams, in their own respect. South Africa's batting order managed to do well, while Zimbabwe put in an improved performance on the whole. The problem for both remains the same - the batting. It's something they would like to work on before the T20I series starts. The first game begins on 9th October, at 1800 local (1600 GMT). We hope you join in for that. Cheers!
South Africa skipper, Faf du Plessis, says the bowling was really good throughout but the batting was not up to the mark before today. Adds further that the guys are looking good and it is a good sign. States they are always looking ahead and they hope to give everybody a fair run. Mentions that the next tour to Australia is what everybody is looking forward to now. Reckons the last two or three series were very good but by the end of the Australian tour they will have an idea of where they stand.
Man of the Series, Imran Tahir, says he is very pleased with the way he is bowling. Adds further he is trying to improve his game even more and he tries to bowl as he wants to. He feels, since he has been playing regularly he has been able to perform consistently. Mentions it is always good to know what the plans of the selectors are but it is also good if the youngsters get an opportunity. States he is always ready and wants to give his 100 percent whenever he is picked. Ends by saying the 6-fer was the highlight as he did not know he had taken a hat-trick.
Man of the Match, Heinrich Klaasen, says the team played very well. He is enjoying his batting position and thanks Mark Boucher for it. Reckons the wicket was a fantastic one and it has always been fantastic here. Ends by saying he would have liked to be a little more clinical behind the stumps but he enjoyed his work.
Zimbabwe skipper, Hamilton Masakadza, says they weren't good enough in all the three games and there is a lot of room for improvement. Feels they got quite a few starts but they were a few runs short. Adds further that another 50 or 60 runs would have been useful. Credits the way the bowlers bowled. Ends by saying he is looking forward for the T20I series in which they feel they are a better outfit.
In response, on this excellent batting surface, the Proteas' openers got their side off to a positive start which set the tone for the chase. Hendricks and Klaasen got fifties each and that more or less sealed the deal. Admittedly, there were a few hiccups towards the end as the hosts lost some quick wickets, which was largely down to good bowling from Zimbabwe, but never were they in any danger of any sort. They got a good run chase in, so they will be quite happy with that. Stay tuned, as the presentation will be coming up in a short while.
A series whitewash for the Proteas as they win all the three games of the 3-match series. Initially, they got the job done with the ball as they restricted Zimbabwe to 228. Barring Shamsi (who went for plenty of runs) and Duminy, all contributed to the wickets column and broke the back of the Zimbabwean batting order. The Taylor-Williams partnership worth 73 was the only one of any substance, as the rest crumbled, thereby only managing a below par score.

Tendai Chatara To Dale Steyn
FOUR! And he finishes it off in style! SOUTH AFRICA WIN BY 4 WICKETS! Dale Steyn stands tall to this fullish length ball and hammers it aerially past mid off. No stopping that, it's hit too straight, the ball races away to the boundary line. A good series victory for the Proteas, they win it 3-0. And this is the 10th consecutive loss for the visitors in ODIs.

Tendai Chatara To Dale Steyn
Big swing and a miss! Length delivery outside off with a lot of room on offer, Steyn throws everything at it only to connect with thin air.
Dale Steyn walks in next.

Tendai Chatara To Andile Phehlukwayo OUT!
OUT! Edged and taken! He was hurt on 0, dropped on 0 and caught out on 0 as well. It's the slower one again which does the trick. Angles across a back of a length ball, it's the slower one and Phehlukwayo rises to punch this on the up. Nicks it behind and Taylor dives to his left to take a simple catch.

Donald Tiripano To Andile Phehlukwayo
Dropped! Simplest of catches and it's Sean Williams of all people who puts it down. Slower length ball on off, Phehlukwayo doesn't pick it up and as a result lofts it towards Williams at covers. He dives forward low, gets his hands to it but spills it.

Phehlukwayo has taken a blow on his shoulder. The physio is ready to come out but he hasn't yet. Maybe Andile is alright.

Tendai Chatara To Khaya Zondo
Ouch! That has really got to hurt. Zondo tickles this length ball down to fine leg and the batsmen come back for the second. The throw comes in at the bowler's end and Andile gets hit on his left shoulder. He's down in pain instantly.
