So that's it from us for this game. We hope you enjoyed our coverage. South Africa will look to seal the series in the next game itself, (Pink Day) 3rd ODI in Johannesburg, on February 4, 2017. Action begins 1330 local, 1130 GMT. Until then, it's goodbye and take care!
Man of the Match, FAF DU PLESSIS feels nice about tonight's innings as batting was challenging on what he describes a tough wicket to bat upon. Once the ball got old, it was not coming onto the bat and scoring boundaries became difficult. That was when ones and twos became important and pressure got built on the opposition. Praises Miller for changing the tempo of the innings and also agrees that the left-hand right-hand combination does irritate the bowlers.
South African skipper, AB DE VILLIERS starts off saying that it was a fantastic performance from the team. Calls the performance from Faf du Plessis and David Miller as outstanding. Accepts that the Sri Lankan openers did come hard at them but the class of their bowling showed through. Mentions that they took their chances and it worked in their favour as well and had talked about those before the game. On the wicket he says that the it played well and he never thought they would get to 300 so he credits the groundsman for it. Ends up saying it was a great team performance and calls it a 10/10 batting performance on a wicket which was two-paced. He rates it high with them being under pressure having lost four wickets early. Adds that he is looking forward to the Pink (3rd) ODI coming up and hopes his side can put up another good show for the crowd.
Sri Lankan skipper, UPUL THARANGA says that the Lankans were in the game when the Proteas were 100-odd for 4 but after that the home side got a good partnership and took the game away. Plays down that dropped chance of Faf du Plessis and says that such things happen. On the run chase, he blames the starts not being converted by his batsmen. Wants them to learn from David Miller and Faf du Plessis who resurrected the innings. On his health, he says he is fine, in spite of getting hit on the head twice.
The win makes it two games in a row that South Africa have completely outplayed the visitors in the ODIs. The only thing that worked in favour of them was the toss. Inserting South Africa in, they first conceded a big score courtesy of two centuries. Faf du Plessis and David Miller were both given a life and each made them pay scoring a ton. Sandakan bowled his heart out but will rue his teammates not backing him up. Sri Lanka need to really dig deep to find answers to take their cricket forward. Things are really not looking promising for them at the moment.
Dinesh Chandimal hung around for his 36 - the highest score for his side but South Africa kept chipping away at the wickets with all the bowlers contributing. Wayne Parnell, Imran Tahir, JP Duminy - all took a couple of wickets. Chris Morris, Andile Phehlukwayo and Kagiso Rabada chipped in with a wicket each. It was another comprehensive performance from them.
South Africa have annihilated Sri Lanka at Kingsmead, Durban. Sri Lanka have failed to cross 200 in two innings in the series so far. It is again a sorry scorecard for them with many of their players getting starts but none showing enough discipline to stay till the end to fight it out. Their openers got them off to a good start. But the visitors went from 45 for 0 to 75 for 4 in no time and it pegged them back a long way.

Imran Tahir To Lakshan Sandakan OUT!
OUT! LBW! The decision stays as it is and SOUTH AFRICA WIN BY 121 RUNS and take a 2-0 series lead! This always looked plumb. Landed around off, the slider, Sandakan went back to cut but missed and was hit on the pad. Tahir appealed and the umpire's finger went up in a flash. This time the batsman decided to take the review and Hawk Eye showed it to be crashing into the middle and leg stumps. Mild celebrations from Tahir tonight. He finishes with 2/26.
This time Sandakan wants to go one up on Tahir, he is given lbw and goes for the review. That looks dead plumb.

Imran Tahir To Lakshan Sandakan
NOT OUT. Height factor. A nice googly, tossed up around off, Sandakan looked to defend coming forward but missed it. The ball missed the inside edge and hit the front pad and Tahir appealed for LBW. He appeared confident and wanted it reviewed and eventually de Villiers gave in. Hawk Eye showed the ball to be going over the top.
Sandakan is not given out lbw, Imran Tahir pleads to AB for a review and manages to convince him. Review time, it looks not out to the naked eye.

JP Duminy To Sachith Pathirana OUT!
OUT! Gone this time. Floated outside off, Pathirana looks to play the slog sweep but is too far from the ball and gets a top edge. Wayne Parnell covers good ground to his right from deep mid-wicket and takes a simple catch.
