Right then, the Indian skipper, Suryakumar Yadav goes on to collect the series-winning trophy and joins his teammates on the podium to rejoice and enjoy the moment. He hands the trophy to the newcomers of the national team and the team poses for a photograph as well. That is it then from this game and this series as well but both teams now have a Test series to look forward to. South Africa welcome Sri Lanka for a couple of Test matches as the other group of Indian players is already in Australia, gearing up for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. You can switch tabs and check all the fixtures and our coverage as well. Until next time then, take care and goodbye!
The Indian skipper, Suryakumar Yadav starts by saying that there's no secret to adapting to the conditions, it's just that they had a very clear plan, similar to last year and wanted to focus on each game individually. Adds that it is very difficult to chose the better knock from the two centurions but all three top-order batters played really well. Mentions that they knew once the lights came on and the temperature dropped, the bowlers would get in the game. Goes on to say that whenever you win an ICC tournament, that too from the situation they won, it gives you a boost even in a place like South Africa where it is difficult to win. Says that the support staff have been enjoying the show and allowed the players to go out and do things on their own.
Aiden Markram, the captain of South Africau, says that it is quite hard to sum up this series and very disappointed because they have been outplayed in all parts of the game. Unfortunately for them, they lost the series and India has played really well throughout the series. Adds that you can’t just hit the stumps all the time and you have to execute other plans as well and they couldn’t be able to do that. It is part of the game. Mentions that as a team, it is a good reflection for them for the 2026 World Cup, they are in the hunt for better players with better skills and they are trying to invest in a side where players are all-rounders. Concludes that Marco Jansen has been brilliant throughout the series.
Tilak Varma is the Player of the Match and also the Player of the Series for his sensational batting efforts. Varma says that he got out on the first ball here when he played at the Wanderers last year and wanted to change that and it turned out to be a crucial innings for him. Adds that he backs himself and tries to follow his basics. On the back-to-back hundreds, he says that it feels wonderful and he cannot express the feeling in words. Mentions that he was injured for a couple of months but just believed in his process and the almighty and that celebration was for that.
Varun Chakaravarthy is the Game-changer of the Series. He says that the last two matches were challenging because of the short boundaries but he executed the team-made plans and now they have won the series. Adds that he is pretty happy with bowling with Ravi Bishnoi and that has helped both of them in taking these much wickets in the series. Concludes that the best approach was to stay away from the arc and bowl outside off most of the time to force batters to play out of their reach.
The Presentation ceremony...
Earlier in the day, India opted to bat first on a pitch that looked solid for batting and they didn't waste time in getting out of the blocks. The openers smashed quick runs in the Powerplay after which a record stand of 210 runs between Sanju Samson and Tilak Varma just blew away the opposition bowlers. Marco Jansen was the one bright light as he made valuable contributions with both bat and ball yet again but the rest of the bowling attack never managed to build any sort of pressure on the batters. Eventually, the total on the board was just too high and the Proteas crumbled inside the Powerplay with the bat.
The story has been the same for the South Africans. They’ve struggled big time! This though could well be a morale deflating defeat. The margin is massive. Agreed they batted in tougher conditions and one can blame the bowling but the batting wasn't nearly good enough. The top three failed again so did Heinrich Klaasen and only the likes of Tristan Stubbs, David Miller and Marco Jansen managed to muster up some runs with the game already gone.
India finish just as they started! A thumping win for the Indians to round off a brilliant series for them! This game was probably done in the first half! The twin tons from Sanju Samson and Tilak Varma batted the hosts out of the game. The Indian pacers were brilliant with the new ball as they ripped through the top order. Arshdeep Singh picked up three wickets as Hardik Pandya got a wicket too. The spinners then contributed too to round off a massive win for the visitors as Ramandeep Singh finished things off with his first international wicket.

Ramandeep Singh To Lutho Sipamla OUT!
OUT! CAUGHT! A maiden T20I wicket for Ramandeep Singh and what a way to wrap up the game from India! Singh takes pace off and pitches the ball up a bit around off. Lutho Sipamla looks to heave across the line but is early in the shot and ends up slicing it high around backward point. Axar Patel takes a simple catch there and South Africa are bundled out for 148 runs. India win by 135 runs and take the series 3-1 as well!

Axar Patel To Marco Jansen
Well, that seemed like a prank almost! Held back on a length and angled in from outside off, Marco Jansen goes for the reverse sweep but ends up dabbing it down into the pitch and one bounce into the hands of Suryakumar Yadav at first slip. Sanju Samson goes up in appeal and the umpires, surprisingly do go upstairs to check whether that came right off the boot or not. The replays show that it was far away from the boot.

Axar Patel To Keshav Maharaj OUT!
OUT! TAKEN! Top catch from Tilak Varma. Axar Patel tosses the ball up on off stump, Keshav Maharaj makes room and lifts it over wide mid off. Varma comes charging in from the deep and dives in to his left to take a fine catch with both hands. India just a wicket away now from sealing the game and the series.

DROPPED! Ravi Bishnoi spills an easy chance and Ramandeep Singh has to wait for his maiden international wicket. Hard length around off, Keshav Maharaj stands tall and swings across the line but gets a top edge down to fine leg. Bishnoi there never settles under it and the ball ends up going through the hands and gets hit on the neck but thankfully, he is fine. Two taken! The physio has come out to have a look and it seems like Bishnoi's right ear is in pain but he is good to go.

Appeal for stumping and it is sent upstairs! Nicely flighted, a bit full and around off, Keshav Maharaj leans forward to drive but is beaten and Sanju Samson dislodges the bails. The third umpire checks the replays and sees that Maharaj's back leg never left the crease. NOT OUT!
Strategic break! Well then, just a couple of wickets left for South Africa and they still need more than half the runs with 27 legal deliveries to play with. India have sealed the series win and it is just about how many more runs can the hosts can get from here to curtail the damage. Also, Keshav Maharaj is in next.

Axar Patel To Gerald Coetzee OUT!
OUT! CAUGHT! Axar Patel gets into the wickets column on his third delivery and Gerald Coetzee has to depart here. Axar Patel bowls this one into the pitch and keeps it around off, Coetzee makes room to go big but ends up miscuing it right up and just behind the stumps. The keeper, Sanju Samson takes a simple catch and South Africa are now 8 down.
