We are done with this match. It turned out to be a one-sided affair with Pakistan caving in. India were clearly the superior side and now storm into the final to face Australia on 3rd February at the Bay Oval, Mount Maunganui. Both teams have won the title thrice. Who will lift the silverware for the fourth time? Do join us at 1400 local (0100 GMT) to find out. Until then, it's goodbye and cheers!
Prithvi Shaw, India skipper, in his interview says that it was a good all-round performance. Informs that his plan when he came out to bat was to hit the loose balls away. Adds that the team played well and hopes for a similar show in the final. On being asked about his experience, he replies that playing First Class cricket with the seniors has helped him and he is proud to captain the team. Thanks the crowd for all the support and hopes for the best in the final against Australia.
Hasan Khan, Pakistan captain, in his interview says that the game was in the balance even during the halfway mark but they didn't perform well after that and things didn't go their way. He reckons that they missed too many chances in the field and their batsmen failed to perform. Adds that they picked an extra batsman but it didn't work out as per the plan. Praises his bowlers and feels that they did well throughout the tournament.
Shubman Gill receives the Man of the Match Award. He says that he rates this innings very highly, especially because it has come against Pakistan. He opines that it was not a good pitch to bat on when the spinners came on and then he reckoned that 250-260 would be a good score to defend. Thanks his dad and brother for helping him with his batting technique. On being asked about which format of the game he would prefer, Gill replies that he wants to play all the formats as it's all about adapting. Signs off by saying that he is looking forward to the final with Australia.
Pakistan will be crestfallen after this defeat. They were very clumsy in the field and that, in a way, cost them the game. To think about it, as many as 7 run out chances were not taken while a few catches also went down. In contrast, the Indian fielding was top notch. They took some scintillating catches today and showed that they were better than Pakistan in every facet of the game.
Clinical performance by India to outclass their arch-rivals! Defending a big total, their bowlers turned on the heat from the word go. They built immense pressure by bowling maidens after maidens and Pakistan eventually succumbed. Ishan Porel destroyed the top order by claiming a 4-fer, while the likes of Shivam Mavi and Kamlesh Nagarkoti kept them on the back foot. The Indian spinners then joined forces and completed the formalities.

Abhishek Sharma To Arshad Iqbal OUT!
OUT! INDIA WIN BY 203 RUNS! Smiles all around and the Indian boys are delighted. A flighted full ball on off, Iqbal kneels to slog sweep it but fails to middle his shot. Ends up mishitting it in the deep square leg region and Ishan Porel takes the catch easily. The Boys in Blue are through to their sixth final.

Anukul Roy To Saad Khan OUT!
OUT! Quick stumping by Harvik Desai! Roy also has a wicket to his name. He flights this one outside off and lands it full. Khan stretches well forward to play at it but misses. He loses his balance a bit too and the keeper is quick to remove the bails. They appeal, it's referred upstairs and the replays show that Khan's back leg was in the air when the stumps were broken. Dhoni will be surely proud of the speed with which that stumping was done. India are one wicket away now.
