That's all from this game folks! But you don't go anywhere as the second game is about to start. It's West Indies vs England in Mumbai's Wankhede stadium. Join us for that then!
Pakistan captain, Shahid Afridi thinks that since last two-three series' their batsmen have struggled. Says that Shahzad and Hafeez played well today. Adds that the openers are very important and play a crucial role. Thinks that Sharjeel is an attacking player and as a captain he expects him to perform well. Adds that he doesn't live in the past and hopefully they learn from the games they have lost against India. Ends by saying that they (India) lost the last game and Pakistan won today so that's good. Adds that he is enjoying captaincy a lot but it's not an easy task.
MASHRAFE MORTAZA says 200 is always difficult to chase with such a strong bowling attack in the opposition. Adds Shakib batted really well as they crossed the 150-run mark. Further says they didn't bowl well today and when they came out to bat, they had a decent first 6 overs. Says his bowling team has to come up with a different plan if they are to win further. Informs Mustafizur is getting better and might come soon in the team.
Man of the Match, SHAHID AFRIDI says he is very happy with his performance as he was hungry for runs. Adds that this is a big event and he needed to set a good example. Ends by saying that the coach is happy as his team gave a good effort in such an important game.
Bangladesh never really seemed in it to be honest. They had a shaky start after losing the early wicket of Sarkar and never really seemed to recover from that. Then Tamim and Sabbir somewhat steadied the ship only for both of them to depart soon after. Shakib Al Hasan was the lone ranger out there today. Unfortunately for him, despite his best efforts there wasn't much he could do as he got no support and wickets were falling around him. It was a rather poor performance today by Bangladesh with the bat, as well as the ball.
So that was completely unexpected. What an emphatic victory for Pakistan! They started off exactly in the same manner as they finished their first innings - with a bang! Mohammad Amir once again was right on the money and went after the Bangla batsmen. The early wickets set the tone superbly for the Men in Green. But the star of today's show, just like with the bat, was their skipper Shahid Afridi. He picked up two crucial wickets of Tamim and Sabbir and finished with figures of 2/27. He was supported well by his boys and they rolled over the Bangladeshis to clinch a very important victory.
