Presentations coming up...
Earlier in the game, New Zealand Women got off to a flying start and ended up with a mammoth total of 189 runs. Suzie Bates remained unbeaten playing an excellent knock of 81 runs. The Bangladesh Women bowlers struggled a lot to pick the wickets. They only managed to take three wickets. Fahima Khatun picked two whilst Shorna Akter took one.
Bangladesh Women were under the pump right from the word go. They kept on losing wickets whenever a good partnership was brewing. Murshida Khatun and Shorna Akter played fine innings and the rest of all the batters struggled. Overall, it was a comfortable victory for the New Zealand Women.
That was a fine, fine bowling display from the New Zealand Women. They had to defend a huge total of 189 runs and they did it well. Eden Carson was the pick of the bowlers as she bagged three wickets. Hannah Rowe was excellent too and she chipped two wickets for the team. Amelia Kerr and Lea Tahuhu picked one each. Seven bowlers were used by New Zealand Women throughout and all the bowlers were economical.
