So that's it from us for this game. We hope you enjoyed our coverage. There is one more game coming your way. Pune are hosting Gujarat at the MCA Stadium, you can switch tabs to catch updates from that game. Until then, it's goodbye and cheers!
Man of the Match, Rohit Sharma feels they knew the wicket was good and were backing themselves to gun this down. Feels it shouldn't have gone down to the last over but being the result favoring his team, he says he will take it. Further says chipping away at the wickets is really crucial in this format. Informs they don't want to be complacent and want to win as many games possible. Admits he backed himself to stay till the end and he knows that when you play at the Wankhede you always get value for your shots. Ends by saying they are looking forward to the next few games and hopes that they keep playing in a similar manner.
Virat Kohli says that it was a much more competitive game. Mentions that they should have closed the game. Adds they bowled four good balls but spoiled it with a poor two in the end. Is happy that they fought hard. Says that the plan was to make the batsman work harder. Acknowledges that they were not smart enough to bowl cutters. Says that the wicket was difficult to bat on and the pace of the ball really worked. Admits that last season was good, but they need to take everything in their stride and learn from this kind of days. Ends saying that it is tough for them but they are looking to give their best, that sometimes it is just not your season.
However, skipper Rohit Sharma came out with a positive mindset today. He didn't take any risk and paced his innings to perfection. He stayed till the end with a blistering and a much-needed half century and more importantly, managed to take his team over the line. Bangalore's woes continues to extend and they have been officially eliminated from this season. They gave a good fight in this one but as Kohli says it's the intent that matters. Negi did well in both departments as first he hit a few with the bat to take them to a competitive target and then with the ball he finished with figures of 4-0-17-2! Stay tuned for the presentation...
Mumbai make it 2 out of 2 against Bangalore this year and with this win, they move to the top of the points table as well. Chasing 163, they lost Parthiv Patel on the very first ball but Buttler and Rana took the game forward. Both of them took their chances in the Powerplay and released a lot of pressure. Their 61-run stand was broken by Pawan Negi as he showed Buttler the way to the pavilion. Rana too was removed by him soon and the game was in the balance at that moment.

Back of a length delivery outside off, punched through covers for as single. Rohit is happy to give strike to Hardik.
Okay, a gamble by Kohli. Sreenath Aravind to bowl now. He has only bowled the one over so far. And also, you normally bowl your best bowler in the 19th over. 18 needed in 12 balls.
