Ed Joyce is adjudged the Man of the Match for his knock that set up the win. He calls the wicket a good one and hopes they play same all throughout the tournament. Knows that they have another big game coming up and he hopes to do well again. Says that the bowling attack did really well today.

Earlier today, Ireland won the toss and chose to field and put up an impressive display. They restricted UAE to a low score thanks to some brilliant bowling. They kept taking wickets at regular intervals not allowing the UAE batsmen to get away. Anwar was the top scorer for UAE with 30. Their batsmen threw away starts which again cost them the match.

It's official, the match has been called off. Ireland win by 21 runs by D/L method.Chasing 124, they got to a good start from the captain Porterfield. Stirling went off the field hurt by a short ball from Asadullah. Joyce played well for his 43 to set up the platform. Both he and Kevin O'Brien got out soon along with Poynter as there was a slight delay as the lights went off. The power failure returned with rain to put an end to the match.

The lights have gone off again. Oh well, they went as the second ball was in play! The news is that it is raining now. Let's hope it clears soon. Ireland are well ahead on the D/L count.
