That wraps up our coverage of this match. Do join us for the next encounter of the 2016 Asia Cup. It will be a crucial game as hosts Bangladesh take on Pakistan. That should be a riveting contest with a lot at stake for both sides. Tune in at 1900 IST tomorrow for the clash. Until then, it's goodbye from us.
MS DHONI feels that consistent performances are important. Points out on the stat regarding India's record in recent games where they have just lost 1 out of 9 matches. Feels that it was important for all batsmen to get a hit out there and credits Yuvraj for playing a good knock. Maintains that he is happy overall with the team's performance. Feels that the track did have help for the bowlers although it wasn't as hard as the previous matches. Says that it was a decent pitch as the batsmen too could get runs once set, especially with the dew in. Adds that the target of 139 wasn't a totally easy chase but is happy that his team did it with conviction. Credits his bowlers for being consistent and says that it is the reason why India haven't changed their bowling line up or even their XI as such. Feels that Pandya's presence gives balance to the side in all departments.
VIRAT KOHLI (MAN OF THE MATCH) says that he is happy being able to play such good knocks again in a pressure game. Says that it was important to be on the game today as the target was higher than the Pakistan game. Feels that it was important for him to force the pace to set the tempo of the innings. Reveals that it was a plan (regarding his stepping out to the quicker bowlers). States that it was a plan to also cut down on the movement gained by the bowlers while also upsetting their radar. Accepts that dew is certainly a factor but states that it isn't easy for a new batsman to get going although a set player can cash in.
ANGELO MATHEWS says that they were probably 20-30 runs short with the dew coming in. Credits India's batsmen for batting well and applauds Kohli in particular. Stresses on the dew factor again and says that the ball skidded through quickly. Feels that his side had to get more runs on the board. Admits that the start with the ball was good but says that they ran into an in-form Virat. States that he is unsure about the team selection for the next match.
Early in the evening, Sri Lanka finished well at the back end to post a decent score. Kapugedera held one end up while Siriwardana and Perera smashed the ball around to ensure that Mathews' men had something good on the board to defend. In the end, it proved to be nothing for India's batsmen as the target was gunned down with ease. Dhoni's boys have booked their spot in the final while Sri Lanka's fate in this tournament is now hanging on a knife's edge.
Kulasekara was the pick of the bowlers, especially with the new ball while Mathews was economical. However, the other bowlers couldn't sustain the pressure as they were put away with disdain by India's batsmen. The scorecard may show that India won with just 4 balls to spare but numbers couldn't be more deceptive as India were never really in any danger during the chase barring perhaps the Powerplay overs. The defending champions could just not create the pressure on a consistent basis with the ball.
Clinical chase by India as they register their third win on the trot in the 2016 Asia Cup. Chasing 139 to win, India lost their openers quite early in the piece but once again it was that man, Kohli who rose to the occasion as is customary for him if it is a run chase. Raina gave him good support and then Yuvraj blitzed a cameo that virtually settled the case. Pandya departed early and once again Dhoni was there at the end while Kohli got to an unbeaten fifty. It was a well-paced chase from the Indians.

Rangana Herath To Virat Kohli
FOUR! FINISHES IT IN STYLE! Darts it on to the pads, Kohli steps out to that one and whips it away uppishly over deep mid-wicket. Gets it to the ropes and that ends the game. INDIA WIN BY 5 WICKETS AND MAKE IT TO THE FINAL OF ASIA CUP 2016.

FOUR! SHOT! GETS TO HIS MILESTONE IN STYLE! Full and outside off, Kohli steps out to that one and blasts it over the covers inside out as it races to the fence for a boundary. So much for expecting a close finish! Just 2 needed.

Milinda Siriwardana To MS Dhoni (C)
SIX! DHONI HAS OTHER IDEAS! Full and on off, Dhoni steps out to that one and lofts it down the ground over long off. That was struck cleanly and dead straight as it sails over the fence. That strike should settle the issue.

Rangana Herath To Hardik Pandya OUT!
OUT! TOP BALL! Floats it up on middle and off, Pandya decides to play across the line to a ball that was spinning away from him. Misses the line completely as the ball crashes into the stumps. Lovely ball and India have lost half their side now. This could be a bit too late for the Lankans. 14 needed off 13 now. Maybe 1 more wicket now can make it interesting.

Thisara Perera To Yuvraj Singh OUT!
OUT! GONE! TOO LATE MAYBE FOR SL! Short and on middle and off, Yuvraj looks to pull and gets a top edge down to fine leg where Kulasekara settles under the skier easily. He is gone but the damage has been done by the southpaw. Vintage cameo!
50-run stand between Kohli and Yuvraj.

Thisara Perera To Yuvraj Singh
FOUR! HAMMERED! Full and outside off, Yuvraj leans forward and brings his bat down like a sledgehammer to blast it over wide mid off to the fence for a boundary. That was hit really hard and another fab stand this has been for India as this pair has virtually sealed the game. Yuvraj is well and truly back.
